It's raining, and thundering again at 4:50 PM. We had the wettest summer this year. We had no lack of rain at all. BF

Default 83 degrees at night

Do you know that we have recently had some nights in Sept that only got down to 83 degrees?
This is higher than normal for some reason.

Relative humidity is highest at night.
Thank goodness for A/C.

Red face

Blech. I hear you. It gets like that here when it doesn't rain.

Except... we don't have A/C.

That's a big reason I'm not as keen on summertime as I used to be: too dang hot and clammy too much and allatime.

It will be nice to have less humidity. Cooler weather can be positive. Some people get depressed in the winter. I won't miss the chiggers, and ticks that are abundant out here.

Just a hour ago I saw a deer foraging for food on the ground. It was only about 50,or 60 feet away from the door, and my outside lights where on. It doesn't surprise me very much anymore. Most of the auto accidents out here are from hitting deer jumping out in front of your car,and you don't have enough space to stop. That's how far out I am in a rural area. BF

Smile full moon

The moon is almost full tonight here. It will be full in the morning (daylight).

It was too cloudy when I looked a couple of hours ago. Maybe I will try again.

Quote:
What Is The Harvest Moon?

Typically, the moon rises about 50 minutes later each day throughout the year. But when the full moon occurs near the fall equinox, the gaps between moonrises are shorter. The moon rises only about 30 minutes later each night, appearing at sunset. This has to do with the moon's path, which makes a narrow angle with the horizon at the beginning of autumn.
Not only does the moon rise earlier than usual in the evening, but this happens for several nights in a row — before and after the full moon — resulting in three consecutive days of the moon appearing at nearly the same time.

Default I thanked the moon

I stood underneath the moon with arms raised towards it and thanked it.

The night was beautiful. At this moment it is still waxing.

Smile moon

I got to see it last night. It was beautiful here, too, but I saw about 18 hours before peak.

It is the middle of the day here and it will be full in about an hour.

I guess the closest to full I will get to see it will be this evening. It will be waning but by 7ish we should be able to see it. That's only 6 hours from peak.

Heart

3:30AM this morning dd and I went downtown to Sheetz and have a burger. dh was at work security there so he bought us our cravings. The moon was spectacular.
I remember seeing it last Fall when traveling and how perfect it appeared. It was 44* out, a warm up from the night before where we had heavy frost.
