Rafe Hollister (Jack Prince II) - The Lonesome Road

Jack Prince (born in Baton Rouge) had a beautiful voice.
Gene Autry wrote the lyrics and lots of people have recorded that song -- it is popular with singers I learned in my search (folks from Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald to Van Morrison).

Thank you Mari. I heard that song about a month in a half ago on the Andy Griffith show. I might be silly,and sentimental,but that song surprised me,and I thought about it throughout that night.

I can relate to that song because of the words..."Lonesome Road''. Life is such a lonesome road to me. BF

I know. Sometimes things are hard.

Some people recorded that song in an up tempo. It is weird because the words are the same but the rhythm is different and the song sounds completely different.
