Today was Derrick's review for his Medicaid waiver. So we had company at the house.
It wasn't bad. Then because its so humid, hot and muggy. We have stayed in the cool air conditioned house. Donna |

I heard that you guys are having heat now! It has been hot here but that is normal for us. afternoon showers and then the humidity but sometimes the showers bring down the temps so that is a welcome reprise.

Well I had a great day. Had lunch with my sister and her husband at O'Charles. It's her favorite place to eat in Lafayette. There foster daughter that they are going to adopt as soon as they can. Had a visit for the day with her real brothers. So they had the day here in the town free.
They are looking at two more boys one from Virginia and one from Ohio. So we will see. By Christmas I wouldn't be surprised if they have at least one more child in their home. After years of trying to adopt. They are a home for special needs, so its really neat. The are taking in teens. This is a 16 year old girl, and the boys are 14 and 15. SO it will be interesting. I agree about my sister and her husband. I have to say this is so wonderful for them. My sister has been waiting a long time for this. I know she was about to give up on this thinking it wasn't going to happen. When the girl's case worker, called about a emergency placement. And they found out that she was even adoptable. And then they surprised the lady and said, they wanted to talk about adoption also with her. Not just fostering. I have a VNG, on Wednesday, and I have been very lucky to find a friend who will be my wheels in town till I can drive home. So I will have another nice lunch with a friend. So its so nice, I don't usually get this chance. I had someone send me a message on facebook, that I don't know wanting to know how I got from Kokomo to Oxford. And then was wanting to know some other information. Pretty much, about how I could be so involved. And be such a knowing person, and do all this stuff. It was such a interesting thing. Donna |

After taking Derrick to work today. I headed off to another town. About one hour away. To meet with two parents.
Wow, was I glad that yesterday the second family had contacted me. And I had decided to put them in the schedule. The first mom, had tried to help someone move a pool table. And was running late. Um, I got ahold of her about 20 minutes after we were supposed to meet. And that was when she said. She was running late. And asked if we should reschedule, no clue how long. Ugh. Donna |

Okay I know very little about VNG's but I do know that I was very much scared to go do this today. I've been trying to find a way to cancel. But I didn't. I learned something's for sure, but nothing conclusive yet.
One, that I have a very small amount of loss of hearing, nothing that needs anything done with it yet. But its not something I knew about when they did the test before. But it was there then. I found it hard to do one part of the test with my head going one way, in one of the chairs for sure. I have no idea if it was different than last time. Because I had the crystal problem last time, and was dizzy the whole time till she took care of it. I do know the crystal problem isn't there. But I think there is something, only because when I made the comment when we were almost done. That I didn't have the same problem as last time, the crystal problem. She made a odd comment, first that the results would come later. But that it wasn't exactly the same. And then she caught what I had said, and said, Oh no you would know if it was the crystals, You don't have crystal problems. Anyone would know if they did. Now I realize just like anyone else that it might be nothing. It might be small and I can't get help. But I did figure out its not in my head. That in itself. Really helped me. If nothing comes from the test but that. Donna |
