Yesterday Derrick and I set up at the Indata fair, which is the Easterseals building. It was lots of fun, just slightly busy. So that was good.
More intergroup mingling, and getting to make sure other agencies knew what we do than anything. But sometimes that is just as important. For me its a big thing. One of the agencies had a representative from one of my counties there. Which was great, she is new to my county and just starting to learn about it. The other agency, is one that my co-worker in the area works with a lot. So I could mainly give them some of our material. And also give some introduction to some new employees. Which is always nice. Also learned that one or two of their employees are working to become volunteers for us. Which is always nice. Next Friday, I go back to Indy. And do what is called "The Arc's Disability Fair on monument circle." This is a big deal, there are going to be lots of food trucks. And other kinds of food. And lots of disability groups set up. I was just asked this week to do our groups. If I couldn't do it we wouldn't have been represented I'm guessing. Something happened and no one caught that it was coming. Even though I had sent it to them. But all is well, it makes me look good. And I got lots of praise from higher ups. But its nothing big to me. And the big thing is they found a volunteer to help me. Which is nice. She is even talking about bringing a tent for us. WOW. Donna ![]() ![]() |
