Default Talked to my Sweetie Today

Or who I should say I want to be my sweetie. He had some stubble on his face and looked good enough to nibble on. But my neighbor and I are just on good neighborly terms perhaps closer than usual. We had a good chat and I rushed off because I was paranoid I may give him a germ that I could have picked up from being about today. People who have had chemo like him can die if they so much as even get a cold. He has intestine and back cancer. Please someone tell me that's not real bad cancer? He thanked me for the card I sent to him last week and thanked me for the card I gave to him today. He told me the soup I gave to them was good. I just want to hug and kiss him all over.

Well, okay, I'm in 7th heaven for now.

That's awesome you got to chat with him today, I bet you are happy the soup went over as well as it did. I don't know about the cancer, but it should be something he could beat and win, the fact he's taking chemo shows he's fighting it as hard as he can. I will keep him and you both in my prayers befuddled2.

Glad you had a good day today.

You are wonderful, what a nice, caring person you are.

I think of you often, and him too.

You are doing everything perfectly. I am sure he is happy and very lucky to have you. I am happy for you.

Keep us posted.

Hugs, Nikko

Thanks Pam and Nikko,

The card I gave to him today had this poem I wrote for him on the outside of the card.,

I wanna hear that chuckle of yours,
Like the day my car door was stuck and I swore.
You know I giggled bout it almost all night.
I felt I had made a friend who is dyno-might.

Do you think he knows I like him now more than just a neighbor or friend?

Default Cancer

Hi BF,
It is a little vauge on what he shared. I can relate my dad's cancer. He had a cancer of the large intestine, colorectal cancer, it spread to the spine. His pain was in the spine when he sat a lot. Unfortunatly the blood test that would have shown the cancer a year earlier was never passed on to him by the VA. hospital.

In his case he had surgery to remove the tumor from the intestine, but his liver was affected with a large tumor. The bone scan showed it secondary or metastatic in the spine, he stopped chemo after one or two treatments he was too sick from them.

A lot of mood swings, some on and off emotions could be feed by the prognosis of his condition, how sick he is feeling, and just enjoying an unconditional friend.
The more my dad's back hurt, and the less he ate, was when he got real sick.

I pray for Doug, I pray that it is the best prognosis, and the chemo puts him in at least remission.
Many people fall in love and develope relationships during rough times. I would just put it in God's hands to give your the friendship that you have with Doug. he must have a full tiome job battling this illness.
Di
