I called dorot and they will send a volunteer to accompany me home on thursday after the extractions. I am also scared that my blood pressure will shoot up and they won't be able to pull my teeth that day. I am just a bundle of nerves. bobby |

I so appreciate all the hugs and comfort and advice and support. You don't know how much that means to me. We have been on the forum for so long but it still seems so fresh and warm. I am sorry i haven't responded sooner but i read the posts when they were written. I just couldn't get myself to respond. I am running scared.

It is good to hear from you Bobby!
 Good job calling for the volunteer to accompany you home tomorrow. I understand the worry about the blood pressure. I don't know if maybe you can just chalk it up to whatever happens, happens. I think it will be ok. Keep checking in when you can. It's ok if you are not up to it. We will keep on being here for you. lots love waves |

I hope that you are able to rest when you can. and that the dental appointments all go smoothly. I am glad that you will have assistance getting back home. well new news...i didn't have my teeth cleaned. I switched dentists and going to one right near me. he said he could save four teeth on the bottom so i could have partials. he said lower dentures are awful. maybe he will buy me five years with the lowers. i won't have to go without teeth. he made one impression today and will make another on friday. he said he will extract the teeth and put in the dentures. he was really nice and a great salesman. it will cost a bit more than two thousand dollars but it is worth it to me. I called my friend and told her and she said we would talk about the money and I said that she was more than generous and the other felt like a luxury.
I find out from bellevue next week about getting some money back if possible. i kept on saying Steve's quote and i was so shocked that it worked or came true. at first the hygienist told me that i had to have a deep cleaning and they didn't do that there. i thought everything was caving in. bobby |

Wow... what a day. How annoying that Bellevue referred you for a cleaning after having seen you, and then having the hygenist say they couldn't do what was asked. Seems like either Bellevue did not intend for the deep cleaning or did not ascertain that this service was offered where you were going -- if you made the arrangements, then they should have given you more specific information. They sound disorganized.  Well anyway your solution sounds good... the new dentist sounds so nice, and it's great that the office is nearby... one less hassle for you! How kind of your friend to offer her financial support. Thank goodness there are still people like her around. May I ask, what is going to happen to the top teeth? Great job getting through today, anyway. I hope you have a lovely and relaxing evening. love waves |
