Question It's the weekend! Do you have plans?

Hi,

How are you?

I wonder if Di went to Disney's Horror nights or if that is next weekend.

I have to catch up with laundry and some work stuff.
. . Maybe some yoga would be nice.

The yoga sounds good to me right now.

I am about to get ready to go to the store.

Our kitchen is going to be turned upside down this weekend. Mom will be stressed about the carpenter and prepping the cabinents. I will be stressed about the interview and prepping myself, paperwork and clothes.

It will be nice to hear about Di's trip. I didn't know anything about the Horror nights.

I hope to read more comics online in between things. That's what I've been doing lately, it's soothing and uplifting.

Enjoy the weekend. Make sure you get some R&R in there whatever else you do.

I'm chilling most of the weekend. I took Derrick to work.
And will go back and get him. And hopefully the traffic for the
famous Purdue/Norte Dame game will not be to bad. Still can't
find out what time exactly the game is.

Someone says its tonight, which could be good or bad.

Its good if I can get through the traffic and in town.

We can then wait it out a while and have dinner in town.

going out for lunch, a cabbagge salad cheff salad sounds good. thenI get my hair colored, 3 hours at the beauty school. ARt walk tonight, have not done ethat all summer because of the heat, could be a bit cooler this evening so that will be fun. Jeff had a serious head ache(started at 3;30pm) last night that sent him to bed tylenol then 800mg of advil then 100mg of ultram finally let him go to sleep.
The meds were stretched hours apart.
poor guy said it felt like an ice pick in the back of his right eye...awful. He has never had a headache like that before. It was gone by this morning. He was able to get some sleep. I slept in the other room so as not to bother him.

I am sorry about Jeff's headache. Glad it went away. Would he be willing to call his doctor about this? If not, he should at least mention it next time he goes in. However, if he gets even a single repeat occurrence or other odd symptoms, he should see someone immediately. Even migraineurs have to get consultations on new types of headache, but it isn't unusual for us to have headache changes. However, in a non-migraineur a headache like this can indicate a serious problem.

Both of you have a good time at the art walk.

I asked him if he wanted to go to the hospital for better pain meds twice and he said no!
His blood pressure was elevated 140/80 but not too much for having a severe headache I suppose...heat rate was 62 which was low like usual I thought it would have been higher. no fever.
He won't be seeing his md for some time I suppose I have to nag him into going.

Well, an isolated event can happen.

Do record the details of this attack someplace, in case you need them later, including pain quality (pulsating or steady), attack duration, meds used and effectiveness, other sx (eg nausea, heightened senses, sensory disturbances, other neurological sx).

There is a type of headache called an "ice pick headache" but these last seconds, not hours. His attack sounds similar to a migraine but migraine onset after age 50, although possible, is rare. If this isn't a one-time thing, he really must be checked out.

His bp did not sound that high, and it seems an unlikely causal factor. What does his typical bp run? A slight elevation is conceivable due to the pain (stress response).

Default Tea

Hubby has been complaining about a sore throat since Thursday.
Today I made Waves' tea as close to the way she wrote it as possible -- the right proportion of water to spices and ten mins simmering, . .
Hubby drank 24 ounces.
. . . . we had all the ingredients . . . did not have to use anything powdered . . we used raw honey.
The only thing I forgot was to squeeze the lemon rind.

For me, he is making his newly discovered recipe of scrambled eggs with sesame seeds.
