when I moved from connecticut to manhattan it took me a while to get used to the noise but I did...i am sure you will get used to it...
is the bigger space helping you or is it still a shock to your system? your husband sounds like a character.....sounds as if you have to work around him.... glad you gave yourself a pedicure...sounds like you need new sandals too.... do whatever it takes to make your life more comfortable. the soap sounds great. I have been using tea tree pads for my face....i bought them from http://www.vitacost.com I am going to order more. I have been using those instead of soap and water and it is so much easier...saves on towels too. I am sure you will adjust shortly to your new living space and to the lack of clutter. I wish you could hire a cleaning person once a month or something to help you out and to keep things under control. It might relieve some stress and I think we all do better with less stress. I would probably be bouncing off the walls now if my apartment was in the condition it was in in the beginning of the summer. take care bobby |

Hi mari,
sorry for your noise issues at the new place. I vote for a fan as well. I can't sleep without something making noise... also have you ever tried ear plugs? wonder if that would help? glad that you found a skirt...i just started wearing them this summer...they can be fun! I hope you can sleep tonight.... (((HUGS))) bizi

I like that way you put that. It is perfect. Years ago I narrowed down my criteria for a partner to one thing. I wanted someone who had a strong desire to talk to me about what was going on in his/her head. ...someone who wanted me to offer occassional advice. I remember saying that I did not care if they were 1) in jail, 2) a republican, or 3) gay. Then I decided that 1 or 3 would be ok but not 2. 2 would be completely unacceptable even if I got exactly what I wanted otherwise. Well I got exactly what I want. Except hubby is a republican. That is what I get for being stupid enough to make such a list!! (Also, I have since learned not to ask for/spell out what I don't want.) He's a rock (and I need that), but with that comes some stubborness. We've been together 11 years and lived together 1 year in October. The living together is new for us. We try to let each other have lots and lots of space, so to speak. The bigger apt will help with that eventually I hope. Also, he exists somewhere on the functioning but un dx'd spectrum. And he has a few neuroses. Mari Last edited by Mari; 09-29-2006 at 01:46 AM. |
