Arrow Health Care . gov

Hi,

The Affordable Care Act (Obama Care) went live on October 1.

I showed my house cleaner how to get to the site and set up her profile.
It was not complicated but it was slow. I told her to wait three or four weeks but she wanted to try anyway.
She learned that she might be better off keeping her coverage through a county clinic -- especially since we are in a state that did not set up its own health exchange. I told her to check to see if she even has a choice at all.

The site allows people to
~ live chat
or
~ call the 1-800 number
or
~ do everything on line.

Has anyone else gone to the site??
People in states that set up Health Care Exchanges might have very good options.
(This mostly applies to people with no insurance at all.
Almost everyone with employer insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare will stay with the insurance we already have.)

The gov is still working out some kinks. Saturday and Sunday nights the site will be closed for a few hours (1 a.m. to 5 a.m.) for "maintenance."
