I am still in a depression and now it is both chemical and psychological...but I think I am working out some of the deep seeded psychological issues. I am feeling very lonely. Two of my dearest friends took me out on my birthday last week and another treasured friend took me out for it yesterday.
I got more cleaning help. If it works out I should have help twice one week and once the other week. I have a new caseworker who seems so lovely and efficient. My psychiatrist says that I have to see him every other week because he really helps to stabilize me. I filled with so many fears which are a lot probably the result of habit. I have never in my life, including childhood had so much support.

I am so glad you're seeing your p-doc bi-weekly, that helps I am sure. It's wonderful that you're getting more help now with cleaning. I know how hard that can be when you're down, it's like you don't have any motivation to do anything let alone clean when you're in a deep depression. I really am glad you're posting and keepin gin touch Bobby, we worry about you when we don't hear from you. Take care and hang in there.

Dear Bobby,

I like your pdoc for wanting to see more of you.
And I like your friends for taking you out on your birthday.

I hope that you find your way out of the depression.
Use everybody's (everybody who is willing) support on this.
(Maybe the cleaniing will lift the spirits a bit.)

I always see my doctor every other week but that time was an exception because of a goof up in scheduling. He attributed my extra bad state to my not seeing him. Yesterday morning when I was in such bad shape all I wanted to do was be in his presence. He really comforts me. Today again I slept most of the day. I am taking my medication and I upped the risperdal and took two klonopin. I just seem to be in a very down cycle. I don't know what I would be like if I weren't taking the two antidepressants.
My doctor also told me when asked that I could have become hypomanic by listening to too much music(I was overdosing on Gordon Lightfoot) and overreading-I read at least one or two books a day...I told him I had trouble there because that is my nature...I tend to be intense and I have always tended to overdo things whatever the thing is...

Dear Bobby,
This leads me back to the thought...what came first....the obcessive thoughts or actions. Are we over doing it because we are hypomanic or is it the other way around?
There are alot of music therapists and is a fact that music can soothe your soul....and can bring you up when you are down. Personally I don't think music can make you hypomanic...but I sure could be wrong.
How do we learn to channel energy and who says what is the right way.
I agree with you my dear...I tend to give it my all and go over board...
What is this term Moderation and how do I get there?
What do you think?
bizi
p.s.
I am sorry that you are going thru a rough time right now.

I know when I got gordon lightfoot's Gord's Gold I played it over eighty times...in the first three weeks...I couldn't get enough of it...it gave me such a high...that is why I think my doctor might be right. I don't know if it is a bipolar issue of going overboard or a personality issue.
I don't even know what is happening now. I am tormented by a lot of issues and some can be resolved. Some are bringing up personality issues that I have never dealt with. I have been feeling very fragile and I don't know if I should stir them up.
The moderation issue I have never had success with and I have known that has been a problem all my life and has always gotten me into trouble. It has also at different times made me very productive.
Do we bipolars have a lot more mental energy and emotional energy that has to go somewhere?
I just took my medication and some extra klonopin and risperdal again and hope to tackle a possible rent problem today. I tend to always expect the worse and create problems where no problem exists and look for future problems. When I am already depressed both psychologically and chemically that is really awful.
Bobby
