Dear Bobby,
I think that I remember that refocusing the pain to something else can do that. . . e.g. pain lessoning depression.

Many years ago my hubby had 5 quadrants done. It's a long story. The short version is that he ended up in the office of an unscrupulous dentist and he did not have enough sense to know what was happening or to speak up. He was trusting.

For you to be able to analyze people is a gift. Also it sounds like it gives you and the other person some pleasure. And maybe some entertainment while you keep your mind off the whole dentistry stuff.

Wow.

where did the fifth quadrant come from? I was taken also when I went to another clinic. The dentist spent five minutes deep cleaning a quadrant.
My student dentist as I probably wrote spent two hours.
that is interesting about pain and lessening depression.
i tried again today to have my doctor raise my antidepressant. He said no. He doesn't want me to go manic. I told him I haven't gone behind his back and taken a double dose of cymbalta but I have occasionally taken four klonopin.
I guess I am going to have to wait out this long cycle of depression.
This time I didn't talk to the bus driver who was a woman. She was talking to herself a lot lol. I wound up talking in the clinic with another patient for over a half an hour. When he left he said see you in a month.

Dear Bobby,
I don't remember what happened because he was unclear at the time when he explained it to me. For some reason he had to go to a different dentist office. The new dentist redid a quadrant that had been done less than a month earlier.

I don't know what to do..my anxiety has come on full force. My medications don't seem to be working. I want to start on my taxes but I am afraid the dental work is more than enough to put me close to the edge besides figuring out how i am going to pay for it. Two m of klonopin isn't touching the anxiety

i used to love doing taxes if you can believe it....now it seems my body rebels against anything it sees as pressure. I have to look through another pile of mail because I don't think I have all the information. I have to do last years and this years and make a copy of 05.
last night i didn't sleep much...but i am sleeping more than before....
i am very worried about the bill for dental work besides the work itself. I am very worried about another thing which might be okay. another thing i was very worried about worked out beautifully.

Dear Bobby,

Taxes can bring out anxiety in most anyone. I think it is worse for someone with bipolar.

And yes, -- regarding the worry about dental payments and such -- things often do work out.
I wish it were possible to remember this in the midst of anxiety.

I am dealing with worry in a new way -- I dismiss the big worry by adding to my worries. I think that I have started worrying about dumb things that don't matter at all.. . . I can't find an example. Let's say it is something like whether or not I bought the right kind of apples and if I should just throw them away and go back to the store for the right ones or eat them anyway. Of course, I am still putting myself through needless worry.
But it is a little bit of mind game. I put the IRS out of my mind and think about the apples anyway, knowing that the apple thing is soooo tiny and will work itself out.. . . . not sure if this makes sense.

I hope things do work out beautifully for you.

M.
