Guys,
How many times is it normal to try something ? Like, you make a mistake, try again, fail again, try again.... When should you stop trying ? Is it very silly to start over and over again something ? I feel a looser. |

Sorry you are feeling discouraged. I know how you feel.
Musicians fail often, but they keep going improving each time. I am an artist, and I started when I was around 5 yrs old. Mostly self taught, then I went to college for fine art after I did my professional training. Artists have to learn how to critique themselves so as to learn from each task, and not get discouraged. Every piece they do has room for improvement. Some people don't understand this and may give up too soon. Verification of your task is part of any creative process. As long as you can see and understand your less than adequate attempt, and can make those changes I think you should continue. Some things (like advanced math) were beyond me. So I am glad I didn't need to go that far. I used to feel a "hole" in my brain about some concepts.... not much room for improvement there...LOL Dealing with PEOPLE however, can be very discouraging. This may be because of THEM and their problems. But it can come from you too, if you have too many expectations of them. Learning this is part of "growing up". I turned to psychology books to help me with people. Books that explain the different personalities and character disorders are the best IMO. There are some very good blogs on this at PsychCentral our sister site. Chin up and try not to get too discouraged...

HI blue,
Don't give up keep trying(((((HUGS))))) there is a good book that I have read many years ago that helped me to understand that we all have differing levels of disorders when you get to heart of it. learning how to understand and then practicing reactions. the book is called shadow syndromes. by john ratey. the mild forms of major mental disorders that sabotage us. Identify the hidden time bombs in your personality. I would highly recommend this book for you. bizi I think I need to reread this book.

Hi, Majo.
We have to keep trying. Once, twice, 10, 100... 1,000,000,000 times and then some. I have come to the conclusion that, whatever, whoever and however we are, the whole purpose of life is to try to be more than we are now, even just a smidgeon more. Think about it: that is the basis of evolution. waves Last edited by waves; 12-02-2013 at 11:07 PM. |

Hey Blue. I hope that this helps. There was a classic song sang by The Birds, called "Turn! Turn! Turn!(To everything There Is A Season)".
They where singing from the Bible in Ecclesiastes 3. 1 To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:... Sometimes it has to be the right timing, and patience is needed. BF |
