Default Sister needs prayers!

My sister who is Bi-Polar really needs your prayers. Really the
whole family does.

But she was trying to give one of the Labs I believe the dog is.
A potty break, at bedtime the other night. And it pulled her against
a brick wall. She had to take a ride to the ER in a ambulance because
they couldn't get their foster daughter up out of bed.

And their wasn't anyone to call. Seems the doctor decided after
looking at her meds list that she had overdosed. And that was all
he would talk about. So my sister finally had to go through the
whole thing of the last 4 weeks. The tornado, the torn up house,
the fact the money for the house hasn't been paid, and all the
other things about the dogs, and the fence.

She said, then a nurse that was in the room. Told the doctor that
she knew her, and she wouldn't have tried to overdose like that.
Or something like that. And the doctor walked out and she never
saw him again.

Wow, Talk about someone that needs to pay attention.

Oops I forgot about the neck brace.

Donna,

Can someone help her?
Maybe something is too much for her.

Thank goodness for the nurse.

Here insurance direct office has been trying to help her.

And they finally got the company to allow a check to be given
to them directly yesterday. For the amount they have spent
out of pocket. They have had lots of help from local organizations.
And People. Just to keep on their feet.

My husband will be offering to help also, but I'm sure they will
not want to take the money afraid they can't pay it back as a loan
is expected.

There's no place in medical, and mental health for doctors who respond personally, and walk off the job so to speak on a patient,and/or family.

Question

Hi, Steve,

I am thinking that, when in the very near future, all of our medical records are electronic and our doctors can see our entire history, things might be better for us and the doctors. What do you think?

Donna's sister is o.k. now I hope but when she showed up in the ER she was not o.k. We do not know exactly what was going on because we were not there.

Every ER doc I have encountered for myself or with loved ones was totally and absolutely wonderful.
They have a different kind of training and experience than doctors in private practice do --- a different way of looking at the world and of treating patients.

The ER docs do not know the patients' histories. They make decisions based on their examination of the patient and of what the patient tells them. . . . .

Have you had any good experiences in the ER?

Hi Mari. I've been in the ER two times for broken bones, several times for stitches, one time for tonsillitis.

Each time I went to the ER,they where very nice to me,and very professional. BF
