Default New Sewing Projects

Here's the flannel and denim I plan on using in my rag quilt I might have mentioned before. I am making one for my son too, but this is mine, with the leopard print flannel and denim in a pretty pattern.

Here's the digital preview I made of it in ms paint:

And these are the skull caps I made using some of the puzzle flannel I bought for my son's rag quilt:

I am feeling really rough though, been having a tough time emotionally. Not wanting to get into it though, just enough to say I am coping, but it's not easy. I hope things get better soon. I know a lot of my issues are hormonally related. *sigh* but knowing that doesn't help much. Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well. Thinking of you all! ♥

It will be won't it? I love it in the preview I made, but I have to get 5 more yards of flannel to cut up into 6" squares and use in between the two layers of the leopard and denim and then I'll be set to sew! I have a pair of jeans that have pockets like stars, that is what will be in the center, a star pocket, and then around that if you can kinda see the top denim squares have embroidered flowers on them, and vines. Those will be the pink squares.

Here's all the hats I have made but the one I gave my mother:

I am impressed! Wonderfully creative too.

I have a dear friend who makes quilts and shows me the photos from the quilt shows she attends... It is a wonderful skill IMO.

I am envious, as my hands cannot tolerate sewing needles...I have carpal tunnel. It is mostly in remission, but I only get 10 or 15 minutes if I attempt any handwork.

Dr. Smith, here also does quilts with his wife. He posts on the Creative forum here now and then.

Thanks for posting. I love seeing what you are making!

Thanks mrsd! I really am grateful my hands tolerate it, it's hard on them though. I will be cutting the final layer needed to make my quilt, this Saturday, I can't wait! I'll be sure to share photos of the project in progress too. I didn't realize we had a creative forum here....*strokes chin thoughtfully* ♥

Awesome project!! I have a real good Husqvarna embroidery machine and am self-teaching myself how to use it!! Haven't gotten to do any quilts yet, but I made aprons for me, my daughter-in-law and my granddaughter out of feed bags from our chicken feed bags that we can use when we are cleaning out our chicken coop!! Never thought I would be raising chickens, let alone making these aprons, but I love it! We raise them just as pets and for their eggs!!
