Thanks Mari

For finding my last post.

I am still at Derricks to be home.

He hasn't exactly moved his stuff in yet. He is just getting ready.
With having to rearrange his schedule so he can still work.
He is having to stay with a friend to get there during the week.

Whose house are you in now?

Are you getting good care?

I'm at Derrick's house.

I technically have some food in the house.
A friend who brings my lunch, when Derrick isn't
around.

And even my dinner some nights. Dale is having
a hard time working 10 hour days and getting supper.

So its a lot of help. She is helping me with my baths
too. Since I was dropped by home care for now.

I couldn't do any new things. yet.

Will be posting some new stuff. This is confusing.

:grouphug:Okay I believe my accident is being picked up by Workers compensation.

I am really confused, because even though I was getting ready to
work. I didn't realize I was already covered.

I need them to state for sure they are picking up the medical.
So I can inform the Insurance person I was assigned.

Good part is I will not have to use my sick time.
I will get 2/3 rds pay from the company.
And I can then spread my 8 hours for vacation.

Its a win win if it is happening.

Any one have clues on workmans comp. I would appreciate it.

Well I can start to stand with walker and boot on. No more than 50lbs
of weight on the foot.

I will work that out.

Then in 2 weeks I can go up more.

I go back to the doctor the 24th of June.
No driving till then,

there is a trick to helping you discover what is 50 pounds. take a bathroom scale and gently place your foot on it till it tells you 50 pounds, that simple.

Good news that you can start to move around, and about the worker's comp! :)

I like the idea of using the scale to gauge the weight. Maybe you can even try stepping on it using the walker a few times, to check how much pressure you put on/can put on.

Keep feeling better! :):hug::hug:

Donna, there is a whole forum here at NT
Layoffs, Unemployment and Worker's Compensation Forum

Someone there might be able to give you some info..
There may be helpful posts in the Sticky section as well.
