I ant remember the name of it exactly but lucurna ? stroke, in the smaller blood vessels deep in the brain. His speech is a bit off, left side weak, but very lucky. He will be in the hospital a few days. Checking his heart because it is enlarged. I'm trying to cover his security shifts so we don't lose the income. No worse today but no better either.

Sometimes feels like I just can't get a break. One minute we are talking about possibly driving to Disney and the next he can't turn the steering wheel. We were all so lucky. God got us home safe and swiftly to the ER.
He is not getting worse so medicine is working, but a complete lifestyle change. His diet, is more the one he should have been eating as preventative one. I think he is tired of eating egg whites and turkey in the hospital....we are lucky he can chew and swallow anything! Thanks all for thoughts and prayers. Di PS our cruise for dd graduation is May 31st, two weeks after his 66th birthday.

Oh goodness, (((Di))), so sorry to hear about this.
I'm sending you and your husband good thoughts. I hope he recovers fast... it does sound like you caught it quick, which is is very important to the treatment and prognosis. About the shifts, do take breaks if you need them... gosh double worry and double work.... please look after yourself as well during this time. (((hugs))) waves |
