Angry 60 minutes on data miners

I'm sort of concerned as to what I should, and should not say these days on the internet.

Several weeks ago 60 minutes reported that there are companies out there collecting information on the Internet, and selling it. I researched this, and found many that collect information. This is not right, but they justify it in their own eyes as being OK.

So this means that private companies are collecting our information, and the government is collecting our information.

I wonder if they feel guilt about their surveillance activities, and secret sails that could hurt us because of our vulnerability, and being misunderstood.

I don't like this at all,and am some kind of disappointed that they do this. BF

According to the Bipolar forum at 3:45 AM,there is one member, and 25 guests. I wonder how many of those 25 guests are data miners. BF

Steve,

What you say is true but please remember that those shows are in the business of getting us upset so that we watch them.

I trust that someone this stuff is going to work out the right way.

For the most part we are or choose to be anonymous on the Internet. Using pseudo names, Facebook privacy, there are things we can control.

My self thinking is that what do I read or collect the the "Big Brother" types would ever want. I am not even a blimp on their radar.

I would worry if searches for "target" words and threads popped up on homeland security or secret service types words or events were searched I would be found.
As far as those lurking, many people do not want to post, but do enjoy reading experiences.

The companies could be advertisers, bots for saving the threads which I do not care for, or even health care company's reading how side affects may bother us.

As far as personal worry, I don't think there is any malicious companies reading us, little we say can be of interest. We are not political, the nRa, liberal or conservative forum.

Just make sure if there is a forum you like to post, you feel as anonymous as possible,

Hey Di. I know that they would be bored with me,but I am concerned with the negative attention that mental health issues are getting on the news recently. Just today they where talking about mental health checks on pilots. I hope that they find the plane, and find out what happened. BF
