Default mdoc's recommendations for Fish Oil: Nordic and Carlson

Mdoc told hubby and me that she likes Nordic and Carlson fish oil because they are low in pesticide residue, mercury, or whatever else.

I showed her the brand that I had just bought: Minami Nutrition.
She said my brand looked good because of the high EPA but told me to research its safety (pesticide residue and mercury) as she had not seen it before.

She also said that if hubby is eating Sardines he is fine -- getting the oil directly from the fish.

I've been taking Omega XL for a couple of years. They are expensive, and really cause a little of a financial squeeze on my bank account. They are made from the all natural Green Lipped Mussel oil Extract from the pure waters of New Zealand. They are for joint mobility, respiratory, and heart health. They contain 30 fatty acids.

I've been taking them for my knees. My knees hurt now,and then. I think that they are doing better. I like the other beneficial affects that they say that they help.

So do they help me? I'm not absolutely positive, but my knees seem to be doing better. BF

Thanks so much bizi and Mari, for bringing up Omegas.
My poor tired tbi'd brain has been struggling "to find" the one I was on last year before all the upset. Knew it was a really high EPA, e.g. 1200.
While those around me here with their good advice have been naysaying that.
THANK you! you have confirmed for me what I knew I knew but was unsure.

It's all so confusing reading all the fine print details online. It tires my brain so readily.
I'd hoped to find the 7:1 or 10:1 ratio which is better for brain, neuro, depression.
The brands seem somehow risky to me.

I have difficulty swallowing pills anyway. I try to imagine getting down 3.
I think I will try the Real Dose Essentials, bizi. Thanks again, gals.

Theta,
Thanks for your link.
That one is OmegaBrite -- the one Andrew Stoll used to study bipolar:

Over 10 Years of Award Winning Purity and Excellence.

Only OmegaBrite is:

4 times more concentrated than other Omega-3's

90% Pure Omega-3

70% Pure EPA in a 7:1 ratio doctors at major academic centers prefer because it provides benefits their patient's notice. OmegaBrite works!
It is easy to get confused.
That is why we bring up topics that we have already discussed -- to remind ourselves.

If you do not like capsules, you can buy liquid fish oil.
I recently bought that for a friend although I do not know the name of the brand.

I tend not to buy oils or capsules in the mail in the summer time because I think that the heat (in transportation time) is probably not good for the oils.
. . .so I buy whatever I can get locally.

Whoosh. It's taken me all day but I persevered wading through all the online pages, options, counting mg. EPA vs DHA, how much per gelcap, how many do I have to swallow, how many in a bottle will last how long, cost how much per month, checking quality, purity, company reputation, yada yada.

Good news I actually placed an order today for the high EPA Omega 3, plus ordered the Ashwaghanda, bizi.
Went ahead and ordered bacopa also, to add down the road.
Got ginkgo biloba and a good D3 as well.

Won't be able to do another shop and comparison on line for months now.
So I figured I best go ahead and order what's been on my mind to do so.
Thanks muchly again to y'all here. I sure miss it Down There.
