Thumbs down More allergies

I must have sneezed over 50 times today. I sneezed allot. I wonder what brought that on? I wonder if something bloomed out there that I'm extremely allergic too? BF

Steve,

That is crummy.
Unless you have done something different, something outside has changed.

I hope today improves.

Thank you Mari. I was sneezing, and double sneezing yesterday. I'm doing better today. I've just sneezed a couple of times today. I wonder about what was going on with my allergies yesterday. I may never know why. Allergies like most other health, and mental health conditions are complicated, and there's no sure way to take care of these problems. BF

'Tis the season to be sneezy, Steve.

Do you have a good antihistamine that works for you?

Feel better!

Steve

I am allergic to dust mites and dust. Ugh, I can tell the difference here
at Derrick's house. My husband has wanted to pull up carpet
and put down flooring in place. I'm going to encourage him too.
Before I go home. I think it will help me a lot.

Apparently, it's a very bad allergy season across most of North America. The delayed spring created a sort of "pollen bomb," as everything bloomed and blossomed simultaneously.

I'm certainly feeling it. I'm practically freebasing antihistamines.

Dust is also a huge problem for me, so we have a high quality air purifier. To battle mites, our mattresses are enclosed in plastic and we put our pillows in the freezer for 24 hours, once a month, to kill the little rotters.

Hang in there. I know it can be miserable. Yesterday, I said, "If I have to blow my nose one more time, I'm doing it with dynamite."

Tis the season to be sneezy... LOL ROFL Aint that tha truth! I take Sudafed, and Mucus Relief(Guaifenesin 400mg) They are not very helpful at this time.

I use to get allergy shots after what I call the Col Custer pin cushion test, but the insurance company stopped covering them. The shots where definitely helping. I'm allergic to mixed trees, mixed grasses, and their mold spores, dust, dust mites, dairy, and etc. I have told people that I'm allergic to the Earth. I have 3 Ionic Breezes, two Ionic Pros, three pre-charcoal with Hepa filter devices, and some sort of Catalytic Converter with a UV germ killing lamp, and several other devices. I don't have any carpet on the floors, except for a couple of small rugs.

I was one a medication that was phased out. The pharmacist recommended the two meds above, and a third that I don't do well with.

I'm better today, but I feel like I'm going to sneeze. BF

Hey Donna Yes. Carpet has all kinds of microscopic allergy producing dust, dust mites, and a legion of other things. I don't have wall to wall carpet anymore. I only have two small carpets near the front door, and near the kitty litter. The Allergy specialists didn't want me to have a cat. The cat stays! BF

Hey Hockey Me to. I have a bunch of air purifiers. I have 4 in the living room,3 in the kitchen,3 in the bed room, two small ones in the closet, and one in the back room with a air conditioner. I have a small one in the bathroom. I don't use the oven very much because they produce to much smoke. I mostly use the microwave oven.

I bought them slowly when I could afford them. Those Ionic Breezes, and Pros.,one has a UV lamp, grids seem to need cleaning all the time. The catalytic converter devise has a UV lamp in it also.

You hang in there also. Thanks for the advice. BF
