Smile Inner time///Day,and night

I need to go to bed earlier. My inner time clock has days, and nights confused. It seems like 12 AM to 6 AM is going faster then greased lightning.

I'm going to try to go to bed earlier. BF

Red face

I have heard that melatonin can help with sleep cycle issues. Have you ever tried it?

Steve,

It's hard to make a big change all in one go.

If you can, try going to bed 10 to 15 minutes earlier each night than the night before.

Perhaps set an alarm to an hour before you want to go to bed, to remind you to start brushing your teeth and winding down. Then reset it for your morning wake up if you need to.

What I do is "roll forward" -- stay up later and later till you hit the bed time you want, then stay there. Doing that is pretty messy though. I usually end up all over the map ... I generally just sleep when I sleep and force myself to be awake if I have to work, have appointments, etc. I am late a lot.

waves who is a confirmed night owl.

Yes, Steve,

'Lots of confusion.

Get ten mins of sunshine during the day.
Or get away from the computer and tv a few hours before you want to go to bed.
The other thing is to take a hot shower about three hours before bed.

(Of course, I am the queen of sleep confusion.)

Bizi Thank you. It's my fault. I have been staying up later while on the computer. The time that the sun goes down is late, and the time that it rises is early at this time. I feel very bad about going to bed when the sun is starting to rise. BF

why feel bad steve, it is your life and you get to decide when and how you do things...so you are a night owl...nothing to feel bad about.

Bizi Thank you. I feel sort of remorseful when I go to bed while the sun is rising. My NP told me that allot of people sleep during the day because they feel more safe. I think that it's more then that. I don't know. BF

It has been 'confirmed' through the decades by several beloved elders, now long passed, that those hours when most of our world is quiet, minds curled within sleep, is when our own psyche may be clearest. Kind of like the clutter has cleared from all the goings on around us, to which many of us are simply highly-sensitive persons.
Not unlike your radios, Steve, we may be better able to tune in clearer, better. Less static for our psyches to deal with? I really don't know.
