steve, maybe your dad had a living will. My f-i-l has one that specifies that he doesn't want artificial feedings or fluids.
I am sorry...
losing family and friends hurt.

My dad was 92,then suddenly he seemed to not understand,or hear what we were saying. Then he caught pneumonia, and died two weeks later. I didn't like the fact that he didn't have a IV saline drip for him in that nursing home. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Hi, Steve,

Sending hugs and prayers.

No matter how old we are, when a parent passes, we feel orphaned.

I will hope that your father-in-law departs this life peacefully.

Bizi That occurred to me. He may have had a "Do not resuscitate",or a"No Code"in place. My sister, and brother in law took care of those details. I haven't asked them yet. I may,but I'm not sure. I signed the death certificate. BF:hug::hug::hug:

That's true Hockey. Both of mine have passed away, and at times I don't know how to respond to my thoughts of the reality that they both are gone. I can't talk to them because they are gone. They were always there, but my mother had become emotionally distant. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Bizi,

I hope for peace for your father-in-law and send good thoughts for your mother-in-law and husband.

I hope that you are going to be o.k. while he is out of town.

Do you have anything planned for yourself?

Thanks for asking Mari,
you know that I don't like to be alone so will have to stay busy.
since I started my new diet and abstaining from alcohol on july 1st, I want to stick to this and not lose my momentum. I have lost 2 pounds already and feel good not drinking.
I will probably be eating more of sandras food from the cafe that I have lunch at. they make a wonderful chicken salad. and have fresh organic produce.
may get brave and try new things. I know that I will be making more trips to the gym, may go every night to walk on the treadmill.
again thanks for asking.

Bizi I'm sorry that you are lonely. I hope that you have a peaceful night.

I hope that your father in law(Larry) is getting the help that he needs in this time of the end of life experience.

I pray that Jeff has the grace to go though this. I hope that I got the names right. BF:hug::hug::hug:
