:Wave-Hello: G'day to you, blue.
I think about you often too. The stiffness is maybe stress related. Ahh, the trials and tribulations of a student life. My daughter's last semester for the year just started last week and the lecturer messed up all the readings and didn't reply to emails and in the end she posted the page numbers and gave 60 students one day to go to the library to read certain pages from some rare Dutch books. Problem being we live over 100 k from this particular library and there are only 2 of these books in that library. blah blah blah  What a mess! All that aside, I hope you are able to get it all sorted out. ;) |
Hi there, blue! I figured that something was up, because I didn't see you much on Facebook, and I'e been wondering about you. I'm so sorry things have hit some bumps lately, but hopefully, you'll be free of at least some of them soon.
Just remember that I am rooting for you, and think about you often. Now I will be praying for you often, too. Tare care of yourself...one foot in front of the other....:heartthrob: |
Oh my... Lara, that is so unfair ! Teachers can be so unfair, really... I think I will be able to sort things out (finally !) tomorrow and Im sure my stiff neck will feel better.... Ugh.
Jacquieeeeeeeeeee !!!!! Thank you for your post ! I have missed you lots !! |
Hey Blue
You would show up while my computer was down. But I'm so glad you checked in. Remember you have a whole room behind you. Not many can say that. Donna :grouphug: |
Thank you Donna ! I missed you LOTS.
Yesterday was such a horrible day at the lab... I have been working with 2 cell lines... both were supposed to be from neuroblastoma patients.... I have been writing the paper I have to send to an international mag to get my degree... and now when I was about to finnish.... BOOOM !!!!! We sent the cells to get genetically analyzed to corroborate they were what they were supposed to be, "just as a control".... YES !? One cell line is indeed a neuroblastoma, the other one: EMBRYONIC KIDNEY !!!!!!!!!!!!! I seriously thought my boss was going to pass out or something... surprisingly, I was soooooooo d*mn calm.... I think my meds and the exercise I have been doing are worling perfectly right now... She then started talking on how we have to publish all my work but with sense, and she sent me to my desk to read and study how could I merge both cell types... like, why would it be important to study precisely those 2 cell lines.... Thank God I had and illumination and quite quickly I have to say, I came up with the perfect "story" on why we would like to study those 2 cells.... BUT OH MY.... it was close to having to do all I have done in the last 5 years AGAIN !!!!!!! I think Im feeling it finally today... I slept like 13 hours last night without interruption AND today I have a nasty headache.... but, well, for every problem there is a solution.... And... actually, I think my experiments make more sense now.... :o |
Majo,
Congratulations on coming up with a creative rationale on your "choice" (erhemm :D) to study embryonic kidney cells alongside neuroblastoma cells. And congratulations on staying calm. Both those things are really big. You deserve a trophy. No, an immediate PhD for each of those. No, trophies and PhDs. :D Cool that your experimeents make mmore sense now... I imagine you got some surprising results at times. Happens when the premises are off, but so frustrating! You sound good in the midst of the troubles and discomforts you are experiencing. I am so glad you are reaping the benefits of the exercise and meds. Take care :heartthrob: waves |
You sound great actually!
you handled that so well. good for you for exercising and taking better care of yourself. thanks for keeping us updated. bizi |
Majo,
That is the wildest thing in the world -- such weirdness.:rocket: You are doing great. Mari |
Thank you for your support and love ladies !!!
Mari ! Haha, I know right ? I was thinking about how weird life is and how we propose but God, destiny, luck, you name it, decide the end of our "choices"... Haha :) |

Majo, We make our luck --ESPECIALLY in science. Isn't there a degree of luck in science . . . ? Years of hard work plus some luck equals great success.:circlelove:  I am so very happy for you. M |
