1. False -- the mentally ill are no more likely to than others to committee violent acts. We are much more likely to be victims than perpetuators.

2. Not all mental illness are chronic. Some are resolved.

3. I do not not know.
I do know that mental illness is more common that most of us believe it to be.

(b) other biological influences
(c) environmental factors
(d) social / cultural factors -- (this is why some mental illness are more common in some parts of the world than others.)
