Default I write to cope

I wrote this this morning but believe I need to work on the last 2 lines.

Star of the Show

My chest feels a heavy weight upon it.
My heart aches deep inside of it.
I can’t catch my breath.
It feels like there’s been a death.

What you ask could this be?
It’s because there’s no one except me.
Knocking on the door to companionship,
All I get is back talk and a bunch of lip.

This age old thing called loneliness,
Is what tares my heart apart in pieces?
But one day do you really want to know?
In this theatre of life I’m going to be the star of the show.
