Default I write to cope

I wrote this this morning but believe I need to work on the last 2 lines.

Star of the Show

My chest feels a heavy weight upon it.
My heart aches deep inside of it.
I can’t catch my breath.
It feels like there’s been a death.

What you ask could this be?
It’s because there’s no one except me.
Knocking on the door to companionship,
All I get is back talk and a bunch of lip.

This age old thing called loneliness,
Is what tares my heart apart in pieces?
But one day do you really want to know?
In this theatre of life I’m going to be the star of the show.

Writing is good for the soul. I think it is very theraputic too. You write very well too and also take nice pictures.

You sound down, chin up! smile Life is too short for sure. I hope you have a good day.

Thinking of you! Hugs, Nikko

Keep writing and taking those beautiful photo's.

Thanks Nikko,

I was down but feel better now. Someone suggested joining a local writer's group which would be a great way to learn some good techniques.

That is the second time I heard about writers groups. IT has to be good for the soul.
You write so well Barbare.
Thinking of you

Hoping you had a better couple of days then when you wrote this pretty poem BF. I know it's a good way to vent emotions, that is what makes me write too. Although I haven't touched poetry in a few years, I still think poetically at times and it helps.

I like the idea of a local writer's group, though I wouldn't have time to give to one, you could probably get a lot out of participating in one, I wish I could but alas I have to devote my time to my son and then my own writing comes next. I am lucky to have found a writing partner online, who understands my work and has offered some awesome ideas I am working on in my novel right now.

Thanks Di and Pam.

Di, I am doing great today.

Pam, I am better today. It is great that you have an online writing buddy.

Thank Mari,

I was sad when I wrote this poem but in the end as usually when I write, there seems to be a solution or hope to in it. That is why I write, that seems to be the best way I can separate my often jumbled up thoughts into cohency.
