We don't get hurricanes here, just wildfires, it is so dry!!!!!

I guess wherever you live there is something to worry about.

Let's all be safe!

Great idea about the nuts and dried fruit!
I need to go thru our filing cabinets and consolidate our important files so all we would have to do was grab the small cabinet with a handle....also make a check list of things to grab...like all of my clients files....
I wonder about all his guitars though...he would not want to leave them....
for hurricane lilly tornado swept thru our neighborhood and took out a few houses...cut one house in half....it is hard to prepare for mother nature....
I know that there have been floodings in texas...I feel for them....
all parts of the world have their natural disasters...some earth quakes, fires hurricanes tornados....we could worry oursleves jsut sick...please try to not worry too much.
((((HUGS))))

Hi, Bizi,
I'm not worrying. Really.

My plan is that only small storms will form, and they will stay out at see.

Today, hubby bought some canned nuts that he said were for the hurricane kit and asked me where to put them. He is catching on.

The black and white tv is tiny tiny (5 1/2) inches and uses 10 size C batteries. During the aftermath of hurricane Wilma, I watched late night tv on one channel of a battery tv a friend lent me.

I found watching tv "orienting."
Everything was disordered. We couldn't go to work, we couldn't talk on phones (even cell phones), we couldn't drive after a few days because the gas stations had no electricity to pump gas....

I might not ever get my documents organized. That's ok.

I really just want water, batteries, and food in some boxes in the apt.
Then I will feel like I did appropriate planning.

Have you and your hubby had a talk about his guitars? Would he take some with him during an evacuation?

Do you know that when I was a kid, my mom used to have talks about what to do if we had a fire???

But then when we were all babies she used to pray that the house would burn down.
I guess that she had a thing about fire.

M.
