I am sorry Pamster....
Hubby and I are going to see the sting and the police concert this weekend in Nwe Orleans. Hubby bought the very expensive tickets on ebay....  Hope I don't get all claustrophobic...am going to wear a money belt. It is in the arena and we are staying about 5 blocks away...so that should be fun. I went back to Indy for a wedding without him recently so this is what he wanted to do...so we are going.  bizi

I bet you ahve an awesome time bizi!
 Don't worry I am over not getting to see Def Leppard, not getting that grant helped me to get over it because I am not paying almost a hundred bucks for a concert ticket.  Who is the opening act? Let us know how it goes.

AWSOME! I hope that after their Vancouver concert they finally got their act together. According to Stewart Copeland's blog, the concert was a big ol' mess. Hopefully they got all the bugs out!

I saw sting, 11 times in 1993, on Dead Tour. He, was their opening act. He's a really big deadhead. At, the first concert, in Las Vegas, he came out in his limo, and, handed out tickets. It was pretty cool. Hope you have lots of fun!! Let us know!!

WE had a great time and terrific seats!
Concert was awsome. Stewart Copeland (the drummer) was just fantastic!!!!! The opening band included Stings Son on lead vocals and base....they were fun as well. They started playing at 8 and the concert continued till 11pm after 3 encores! WE stayed at a hotel close enough to walk to the arena. Everything was just great until the guy right next to me lite up a cigarette. I told him that he could not smoke in here then said I was allergic to smoke and he then pouted got drunk for the entire rest of the concert....sat there and glared at me...I tried real hard to ignore him and did for the most part. Toward the end of the concert he ended up smoking twice again...this perked him up a bit. What an idiot! After the concert we walked the french quarter and had to have a couple of Pat Obrians hurricanes...to share. Went to Mothers restaurant for a huge ferdie with cheese(ralph) poor boy sandwich, Beignets with cafe au lait at Cafe de monde in the quarter. Spicy red beans and rice and rabbit sausage jambulyia and seafood gumbo for lunch. Our trips are always about the food! bizi

Bizi,
I'm glad to hear you had a nice time. I would have loved to go do something like that. Smoke bothers me and I may also be allergic to smoke although I use to smoke 2 1/2 years ago. befuddled2 |
