It sounds like that could do it Bobby. Just make sure your cardiologist and PCP know you're taking it, along with any other supplements.

i did tell my primary care doctor about it and he had never heard of it. i told him a friend of mine had trouble taking statins and her doctor told her to take chitosan. i guess i will write her and ask her if it helped her.
Interesting isn't it.

Chitosan may adsorb drugs and make them unavailable to
be absorbed normally. So space any drugs a couple of hours or more away from when you take the Chitosan. This product is ground up crab shells, and absorbs cholesterol from the diet and also that which is dumped by the gall bladder into the GI tract.

The same properties occur with Cholestyramine (Questran) or WelChol. Both of these are RX adsorbants.

Thumbs Up Interesting supplement

Bobby,

https://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/...ons/000347.htm
Chitosan is a dietary fiber from shellfish. Some products that contain chitosan are Natrol, Chroma Slim, and Enforma.
People who are allergic to shellfish should not take these supplements.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12771974
Our results demonstrate the chitosan is safe and effective for lowering cholesterol.
However, the effect of chitosan for decreasing cholesterol is mild.

I am very glad that it is helping you.
