I know it cost us more than $4K. I just included the appointments that are recorded in iCal. For a couple of stretches I know I was going to the doctor, but couldn't physically record the appointments or couldn't see well enough to do it. I also didn't include trips to the pharmacy, medical tests, or any kind of non-medical trips.

Because the cab fare was transportation to medical appointments, I could itemize deductions and it could go towards a medical deduction, but my total personal medical expenses would have to exceed my personal exemption (one year I remember it was around 12K) by a considerable amount in order for it to be ANY benefit to me. Even though I still have several grand in medical bills that has only happened to me once.
The rest of it is related to a criminal matter and is not deductible. So no help there at all.

I got the lowest possible fine and sentence in the state of NH, didn't hire a lawyer, and I don't work. With a higher fine, the cost of different state mandated programs (some of which are ridiculously expensive), lawyer's fees, and lost wages the cost of a DUI could easily go well over $10K.

$4K doesn't sound like a lot of money compared to what it has felt like. Every time some big new expense comes up it's panic, and every time I have to hit the ATM to take out more money for cab fare it makes me sick. Money goes fast.

The scary part: I blew 0.15. I had no idea how drunk I was. Not only am I lucky I didn't hurt anyone else or myself, had it been 0.16, it would have meant jail time
This really, really sucks but I'm also really lucky.

Aside from alcohol-related things, what is going on in your world lately Bizi? How is work going?

hi kay, I just posted again in my new thread overwhelmed thread.
I hope this is not turning into a depression. That has happened before and it is not pretty. maybe I should take the extra lamictal now?
I did not cry yesterday but sure felt like it was the prime opportunity.
I am not a crier...
Work is fine busy.
Which is good.
Alarm goes off at 8 most times I am up earlier than that at 7;30.
I usually see 1 client at 10 then go for an hour lunch with my friends.
Then see 2-3, sometimes 4 clients in the afternoon. Home around 5-6 depending upon how far I have to travel.
My limits are around 25 miles away from home.
Half of my clients are in their homes the others are in assisted living places or nursing homes.
I do love my job and even though I am miserable about doing paperwork and have neglected charting for so many months, I just got caught up in my billing so that is good. I will do the minimal amount of charting, making up new client charts. and let go of routine visits until I feel more able to bring the charting up to date.
No one over sees me or inspects me. I am the one who thinks I should chart anyway. So if I miss charting a vist, it is not a big deal and I just need to let go of that.

I upset a friend of mine a few weeks ago.
The group was having lunch and one of the members was telling us about some very personal information about one of friends not there. He told us that she was filing for divorce and serving her husband papers and that she had rented a house, moving in. This was a shock to us. This was not his story to tell. He confronted me about it and said that that was not my story to tell virginia.
Virginia is a very private person and I believed that she had a right to know that nikko told the group what was going on with her. She was furious with Nikko.
He is her best friend and she felt betrayed by him. They are very close.
Her leaving her husband has been very hard on her, and she is overwhelmed from what I have heard. I need to have lunch with her one of these days.
Looking back and seeing how upset she got and how this effected nikko and virginias relationship, I should not have told her. It really hurt her.
Now I feel badly for them both.
And this has effected my relationship with nikko.
Yesterday at lunch nikko got up suddenly and left. We talked briefly about him, not doing well and I said I should not have told virginia..they all agreed.
sigh

I did not used to have any friends that I eat lunch with now I have this bunch..so grateful.

We will probably go to whole foods tonight, jeff driving, and play trivia pursuit and I will have my 2 pint limit and then go home around 9.
We will watch the last episode of x-files tonight the season finally.
We have really enjoyed watching the series.
What next?????

We watched the final episode of the x-files last night.
It was great! although mulder just appeared having been gone most of the past 2 seasons with no real explanation. He did not have scars on his face like I thought he would do to the testing and such that I thought he went thru.
We are going to try to get the season 10 that was just on tv, those 6 episodes so that we can watch them again.
We are at a lost to what to watch next....
maybe LOST?
jeff just said "no" when I asked him...oh well can't blame me for trying.

Had fun at whole foods last night, limited it to 3.5 beers but ate a big pizza, boy was that good!

Did you catch Wayward Pines? It was an excellent series that aired last year about an FBI agent who goes to a creepy town looking for two missing agents. Its in the same genre as Twin Peaks (but not too similar to it) and The X-Files, so I think you'd probably like it. We got hooked.

never heard of it. Has it been on for a while? we do not have cable and we like to own the dvds to watch on our own times/schedule.
I am still unstable....getting back to baseline will take some time. really need to be careful.
I almost walked in the dark to a bar .5 mile away, bored then remembered that I needed to finish up my taxes. Figuring out the health savings account was a nite mere. But it is done/e-filed and paid so all is good. Hope I did them right.
Jeff got home around 10pm.
did not sleep well due to my own doing.
Playfully got on the right side of the bed/jeffs side and slept there or rather tried to . I have never slept on that side of the bed for 22 years. It was not good. HIs side is lumpy and indents and I always sleep on my right side and so that put my feet close to his back and uncomfortable.
At 4 he got up to go to the bathroom and I said we are switching back and then got some good sleep.

Matt Dillon starred in 10 episodes which aired in 2015 (I think on) Fox. It got a 7.7/10 on IMDB. We DVR'ed them and watched them all in one weekend. Season 2 premiers in May. I wish you could could get your hands on the first episode on the internet because I think you'd really like it. It is out on DVD.

I'm glad you got your taxes done. They're such a pain…

I hate it when my husband falls asleep on my side of the bed. I don't like sleeping on his side at all. It makes me wonder what the hell he's doing over there all night. I hope you have a good day and you're not too tired.
