Default having trouble cutting back on coffee

i have been severely depressed and tired. i have mixed the coffee and also cut down the number of cups i have been drinking. everything is an effort.

I'm so glad you're sleeping more!

It sounds like you have been successful at cutting back and something is helping even though it seem like your depression is worse….

Are you going out for your walks or getting out to the senior center? It's important to do these things now so that you don't fall into a deeper depression Bobby

i am only sleeping a little more but at least that is something. the disruption of not having all that caffeine is making me feel sick. yesterday stella called to see if i wanted to get together for coffee and i said i was too depressed which i was and then robert came over in late afternoon to pick up chicken for mickey. he was going to fix the computer but i was too tired and asked if he could do it some other time since he didn't think it was a virus. i hugged and kissed mickey and went back to bed.
drat i got three hours sleep. the cutting down of coffee is adding to the depression big time.

Fortunately, it will get better with time but maybe you did it too drastically. Maybe you added too much decaf into the mix, or reduced the number of cups you're drinking by too much all at once and the withdrawal is too much?

I remember I went a day without coffee, but I had a 2 liter bottle of Coke. The Coke didn't help. I had to go back to bed and slept the entire day away. I'm so dependent on it, it's awful. But it's literally like a drug to me.

i did all of the above....and i paid for it. i don't know what to do. maybe i can drink the same number of cups but drink them half and half. I felt so awful.
I still feel really out of sorts. I have been obsessing about my sister and wanting to talk to her and wanting to pet abby and wondering what to do about getting another kitty cat or not. I got the report on heart but i don't understand except for the abnormal ekg which i knew about and the shortness of breath. I will bring it to my primary care doctor on the 25th. I am a total wreck.

i think i forgot to mention that a close friend's husband had a massive heart attack a few days ago and died. I used to work with him.

I think drinking the amount of coffee you did before, with either half and half
or even some of the cups no caffeinated. Would be a better idea.

Remember the places you can go have de-caffeinated too. So keep going
out for your coffee with your friends also.
