this is the second time I have tried a statin. by using chitosan without the statin my cholesterol came down 25 points to 270 or something like that. yesterday i was getting off a bus and my leg became so weak it collapsed and i couldn't get up. a couple of people had to lift me up. I was too embarrassed to look up at them and then back at them. I did say thank you when I finally could put weight one. you can imagine what i was thinking. at lunch time i asked a friend if she knew what happened. she said she didn't but did mention statins. bingo. tonite i am going to skip them. what a scare. i hope that is the problem.

my mom thought she had alzheimers for 2 years while on statins, cleared up when she got off of them. scary stuff indeed

thanks. I have cramps in my legs., especially my left one. It gets better when i start walking. I have had them for a few days and just attributed them to aging.
I attribute everything to aging. I didn't take the statin last night. I don't know how long it will take for a reversal. By next friday when i see the doctor i will know. I guess i will have to go to a good site to see what foods to avoid. My friend Betty's cholesterol dropped 100 points to normal range by cutting out eating cheese. she really loved cheese. bobby |

HOw is your vit d level?
my sister had leg issues and her vit d level was low. Mine was low too, have been taking 5,000 units daily for years now. my level is good now 50-60. bizi

I'm glad you are okay now, that must have been scary!
I'm glad you are going to your doctor. It may be the statin, but you want to exclude other causes as well. It's not always the meds we take that cause strange symptoms. |
