Default depression and anxiety

I don't feel like going to the senior center.right now i am ignoring the kitty cats. they have been such a source of anxiety. I don't know if pudge ate today. yesterday i goofed. i thought misu didn't eat so i wound up feeding her three times. somehow she ate when i wasn't looking and i realized it too late.
She just jumped on the computer table and rubbed against my head as if to say we are friends. that relieved me.now my nose is itchy. she is eating the buffalo blue meat dry food right now.i thought some was gone.It is really expensive but i will buy her more when it runs out. It costs forty dollars for ten pounds.
Now i have to wait to watch to see if pudge is going to eat. she is back on the top of the recliner and i could have missed when she ate.
I have no energy whatsoever. It has just been one thing after another. I am afraid i am alienating people with my mood. Mike called last night. He just turned 89. I still get a long with him. cecilia is going away today til sunday. I will miss her and sofia.

I can't keep track of if Misu is eating, and what she is eating? Is she eating wet and dry food? How many different brands/kinds? I know you are worried Pudge might not be eating much… are you only feeding her the one brand/kind of dry food?

Please try to feed each cat only one brand/kind of food right now (whether it's wet or dry) to keep things simple for yourself. Don't spoil Misu simply because she is the new kitty. Find one thing she will eat and stick with it. Trying multiple things is expensive and can cause you a lot of anxiety you do not need

Try measuring Pudge's food in any kind of container before you put the food down so you can see how much she's eaten when you remove the bowl. It's much easier than worrying needlessly that she's not eating if she is

I'm sorry Cecilia is going away. I know you will miss her. I wish you would get out and go to the senior center. It might lift your spirits a little

I hope you feel better Bobby

pudge is always used to having food out. i can't stop the routine after four or five years. it will seem like punishment. i always start the day with wet food and leave out dry food all the time. the blue is new and misu has eaten it a couple of times. she hasn't eaten the food pudge has always eaten. pudge just ate some of her food. i played with it and then she ate some. I will just watch her even though it is anxiety provoking.
i told the doorman not to accept the glasses when they come.
thanks for your kind thoughts but the cats come first

Cats really do not ignore food, if they are healthy. I wouldn't worry about them in that regard. A sick or very elderly cat, avoiding food is another thing however, and should be attended to. So don't worry about your cats eating at this point.

If they are not fighting or picking on each other, you are lucky.
Many new cats have a hard time with established ones. Make sure you continue to give Pudge affection and attention, so she doesn't feel left out. A simple string game (with an old shoe lace) is always easy, cheap and very much liked by most cats.

Here are two links about cat body language:
http://pets.webmd.com/cats/features/cat-body-language

http://www.cathealth.com/how-and-why/why-cats-head-bump

I think you are doing very well with Misu... we have a friend that took 2 yrs to get her new neutered male from a shelter, used to her other 3 adult cats. One in particular really beat up on the new young male (and she was a spayed female, no less).

Bobby

I have a feeling you need something to worry about. So in a way if you can stop worrying so much about them eating. I think it will be good.

I think they sneak food just so you can think they didn't eat.
