Default just got a long lecture

robert gave me a long lecture about my physical condition and what a mess i am in and how i am going to be bed ridden if i don't start exercising if i don't start with physical therapy. he dismisses medication.
then i ran into rick and he was bict78ing about the apartment but kept saying they can't do anything to us as long as we pay the rent.
the anxiety is now sky high

Some people like Robert like to give advice.
Ignore the "advice/criticism." Maybe he means well. (IF he does not mean well, talk to him less often.

I'm so sorry that Robert lectured you and made you feel so terrible
Possibly he has Aspergers if he has something that seems like (and may be) mental illness, has genus like qualities, and obviously lacks social skills?

I know that you have said previously that he has been a good friend to you, and by some of the things that he did say in his lecture, it sounds like he does mean well. Sometimes the people we care about get upset with us because they don't understand why we can't change behaviors that aren't good for us, so they lecture or try to advise us, but it only makes us feel worse
And sometimes things get uglier than that

Weight loss and initiating exercise is difficult for ANYONE, especially as they age, let alone with the barriers of bipolar disorder. You put a lot of pressure on yourself, it's unfortunate that he's adding to it. I know you want to lose weight, and it's hard

Something that concerns me is that you've relayed twice that Robert has mentioned you need physical therapy and I know you've had multiple falls. I can't evaluate you, so I don't know why you're falling, but I think you should try to evaluate yourself. I hate PT, but I have to go back every now and then for a tune up. I can't afford an injury. If YOU think you could benefit from PT, you can ask your PCP if he can arrange to have the therapist come to your home (he has to declare you "home-bound" in order for insurance to pay for that). It could be a good jumping off point to an exercise program because the therapist can give you some light exercises that may help you out if that's the direction that YOU want to go in. Above all else, I want you to be SAFE
(Also, if you want to, you could ask your PCP for a referral to a nutritionist i.e./diabetes, diet)

You've been going through such a tough time for a long time now Bobby I don't see how you could have possibly been focusing on weight loss and exercise. You seem to be doing a bit better since your pdoc raised your risperdal. Hopefully you'll be even better after you see him again (this week?). Maybe once you start feeling better you can worry about that **** again

It's nice to know that your friend cares. I just wish that he expressed his concerns in a friendlier manner. I wish we were able to make the people we care about understand our limitations. It would make our lives and relationships so much easier

the main fall came out of dumbness and still hurts. i was so used to sleeping on a futon that i reached too much under my bed for the cat's bush and than gravity took over. it was such a hard fall. no physical therapy would help me. then i have loads of things by my bedside just waiting for an accident. pill jars etc...i must clean them up but don't know where to put them. then i have the tv clickers and soda bottles. all accidents waiting to happen. I am not young any more and i am careless. even until yesterday my scale was surrounded by shoes. I need a psychiatrist not a physical therapist. I also need to lose a lot of weight. I am carryig too much weight. I feel the twenty pounds i gained since abby got sick. I feel the weight of myra's death. I am always terried but for a couple of days the risperdal gave me good rest.I am still hardly remembering my dreams whicc are giving me more peace.
robert probably has aspberger's and a bad case, He said he was once diagnosed as bipolar but it doesn't fit He is too functional and production. He walks about seven miles a day with his doggie and is so productive with the computer and putting things together and figuring things out. I am just wondering why the other day he finally got me on my speaking but he didn't mention on my hearing lol.

He doesn't know how destructive he is. I am certain if i lost fifty pounds I would fill a lot better....on to zucchini

Aspergers sounds about right -- not that I am a diagnostician or anything.

My mom used to grow (still does) zucchini. It is easy to cook.
(I like yellow squash a little better)

Enjoy the zucchini -- it is versatile and good for us.

Thank you for explaining Bobby, I'm glad you feel safe
I'm glad you don't feel like you need PT. It's a pain in the ***.

Maybe Maria can help come up with a solution for what to do about the clickers, pill bottles, etc.? Sometimes it just takes a little creativity…

I had all my pill bottles in a plastic shopping bag for a long time. I looked everywhere until I found a caboodles make up box that's like a train case at Target. I took out the insert and all my pill bottles fit inside (although its getting really full now). I put it at the bottom of my linen closet now, but my klonopin is in the drawer of my coffee table. How many pill bottles do you have?

I'm so glad you're getting more sleep. That helps so much

Sometimes Aspergers and Bipolar Disorder are mistaken for one another, and it's common for them to coexist. There are people with bipolar who can function, but you've known Robert for a long time and if he's not on medication, and he hasn't had anything resembling an episode during that time… bipolar just doesn't fit.

I love zucchini! Sometimes I stuff it, but I really love it sautéed in a light tomato sauce… my grandma used to make it for me like that.

For my medicines I use an old camera case. Its small and has 3 area's to put medication.

It carries well everything I need for each day.

I must admit the past ten months i have been a lot worse with all the stress in my life and i guess that really triggered robert. usually he just comes over for chicken for mickey and an occasional computer problem.usually an easy one.
this time it really nailed it with aspbergers but i wonder why this time he forgot to mention or imply that i was deaf.
I definitely need a new arrangement for the pills and supplements ...there are at least 15 including the duplicates. some are very big bottles. yesterday the lids were lose on two and one of the kitty cats spilled two...at least they were different sizes.
I am not going to the senior center.. maybe i can read. I have the window wide open and will shut it
