Red face Rexulti

Rexulti I have heard from another post that this antidepressant worked for her depression when others had not.
any one heard of it or take it?

bizi
upon googling it , looks like it is an antipsychotic used with other antidepressants.

Default Similar structure to Abilify.

Abilify:
7-{4-[4-(2,3-Dichlorophenyl)piperazin-1-yl]butoxy}-3,4-dihydroquinolin-2(1H)-one

Brexpiprazole:
7-{4-[4-(1-benzothiophen-4-yl)piperazin-1-yl]butoxy}quinolin-2(1H)-one

A molecule of sulfur replaces two molecules of Chlorine. (fewer side effects perhaps)

Bizi

I wanted to personally thank you for this information. We are dealing with
issues with my son Dan that this might be a good thing to look at.

Really want this ride to stop for everyone effected.

Thank you for throwing this into the mix Bizi
I think it's important for us to know about what's out there, especially if it's getting positive reviews

I have just started seeing ads for this med, so I think it's new.
Taken from Rexulti.com:

"INDICATION: REXULTI is a prescription medicine used to treat:
Major depressive disorder (MDD): REXULTI is used with antidepressant medicines, when your healthcare provider determines that an antidepressant alone is not enough to treat your depression."

If it's an antipsychotic and they're using it to treat major depressive disorder, I'm sure that pdoc's are already using it off label for BPII.

The word "antipsychotic" may turn some patients off, but I'm sure that prescribers will be able to explain the logic behind it to the patients they think could benefit from treatment. I think the target audience is probably ready for change, and quite a few will be interested in trying it.

I'm pretty sure a med with this strong of an antidepressant quality would not be appropriate for patients with BPI. I know that I would never take it no matter how depressed I was.
