Default pudge

i took her to the vet and she has an infection. she might have more since they took a blood panel. she has a fever. the vet was really really nice. he is a keeper..
she was given a big shot of antibiotics. her lungs weren't good. I feel awful. it cost 501 dollars plus cab. i thought his prices were fair.

Guessing that might be why she wasn't eating.

And hopefully this will help and she will start.
Oh and she wouldn't have wanted to play for sure either.

the blood test came out good so he thinks it is only respiratory but he might have to examine it further. he wants me to take her temperature and put rubbing alcohol on her feet to lower her temperature and maybe bring her in in three days,

Poor kitty.

How do you put rubbing alcohol on a cat's feet?

There are chemicals in rubbing alcohol to make people vomit if they drank it. It is called a denaturant.

The isopropyl does not have it, but if licked off can't be good for the kitty.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denatured_alcohol

Please read this:
http://www.catfevertreatment.com/

As in humans fever may come from STRESS and a new cat is certainly stress.

I have never heard of alcohol on the feet. I'd search further
on the net or call another vet to verify that advice before thinking about taking it.

I found this article on boxes and cats the other day so I put it up here on our Pets forum.

You might find it interesting and helpful. If you don't have some boxes for your cats you might try them. They don't have to be big..ours like small ones... esp the amazon ones.

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread234742.html

The boxes help destress cats somehow.
