maybe I will vacuum the living room and spot clean the rest of the floors, I have neglected the house.
May even scrub the kitchen floor!

I am a bit hypo today.
after cleaning some of my house for 2 1/2 hours we went to the band concert which was good. but left early, jeff went fishing and I went to whole foods to eat dinner.
I had spinach and mushrooms and roasted garlic and some red onions that I steamed with some balsomic vinegrette in the microwave. cooked them all down.
Also got a cup of chicken catchatori, which was very good. I ate in the bar and drank water.
Picked up a few items and then some frozen veggies and wonderful cherries, came home and put them away.
Decided that I would take back the book that I borrowed from a client of mines daughter. So I called her to see if then would be alright. It was so I went over there, a rich part of town, I was in shorts and a brown belize t-shirt.
She offered me wine and out sat some figs and some cupcakes.
I declined the wine and said that I was dieting. She told me the figs were high calorie....I ate them anyway. Took some home from her yard.
They were very good.
I talked her ear off...too much I am afraid. I was there 2 hours!
She lent me some more books and told me to just leave them at her mothers apartment when ever we were done looking at them.

jeff called me at 9;30 when he returned fishing....apparently I left the freezer door open when I left. ooppss!
Every thing was fine.
But I know that I am hypo when I do absent minded stuff like that.
looking back to my visit with peggy tonight I realized that I began telling her 2 different stories and never finished telling them because I jumped to the next topic.
sigh
anyway
I am tired.
It was a great day.

Slept soundly last night, got up at 7:15 a solid 8 hours of sleep.
Weighed my self. Down 5 pounds in 5 days of not drinking and dieting. I know it is water weight from bloating after drinking so heavily for so long.
Still it is encouraging to see the numbers go down.

I'm glad that you got so much done because it must feel so rewarding

It's good that you recognize that you're exhibiting hypo sx, but I'm glad you slept like a log. That's a good sign. I hope it's just a fluctuation, and doesn't last more than a day or two.

I'm glad you enjoyed the concert and art walk. I wouldn't be able to appreciate much of the modern/abstract stuff either. I just don't "get" a lot of it, and am not really motivated to.

Thumbs up again for losing the 5 lbs

I look forward to august 12th our weekend get away to the beach.
my mood is elevated, I usually drink to avoid social anxiety. My visit yesterday (with my clients daughter) was seamless and I enjoyed retelling parts of our trip. I kept her up late, texted her today apoligizing for talking her ear off. She texted me back saying that she enjoyed our visit looking at my pictures and hearing our stories. So that is good.
I need more things to look forward to. Drinking on the beach just can't be the only thing to look forward to!

Maybe you could reassess the type of things you look forward to… things that you consider small, but most people don't get to enjoy. You experience some pretty lovely things regularly such as concerts, and the art walk, because there seems to be a lot of events in your area.

Your beach trip sounds nice… I hope you have a good getaway!

I had a very fattening soup for dinner. Oh so good.
Cream of tomato and basil. (mostly cream)
30 carbs for the bowl....not even going to look at the calories.
800 I think
Had 2 chicken/organic bratwurst with dijon mustard. Had some tabouli as well.

Lunch today was chicken shwarma with lentil rice and collards and beets.
yum! very good.

I washed the king sized duvet cover for our comforter yesterday that was a big job. It about did in my washing machine and then the dryer sort of turned it upside down into itself and I could hardly untangle the mess.
But it is done!
I had used 2 cups of bleach and let it soak for half an hour to try to get some of the stains out. We really need a new one.
Jeff wants to get a new down comforter but it is flat at the edges by our face and that is how I like it. Other wise I get too hot.
Hubby wants it fluffy I want it flat.
I guess I win for now....

I do get my way sometimes

All those big duvets, comforters, etc are such a PITA to wash because of their size. You're lucky they fit in your washer!

I'm thinking about making pasta and marinara sauce (big batch) for my husband tonight. My recipe is acceptable for this diet. I think I'll mix it with fat free chicken broth and make tomato soup! Thank you for the idea!

Good question kay.
We like to walk on the beach at night....looking for bioluminesence photo plankton. Little sparkles of diamonds when the tide comes in. One year it was spectacular and had so much fun running our fingers thru the sand and them lighting up! What fun!
But we have to time it right, new moon is best, away from lights.
We also walk a long way down the beach to the big fishing pier and walk down on that. Hurricanes have knocked this huge bridge down before they always rebuild it. It is a wonderful pier, they rent fishing equipment though we have never done that before. We like to watch. Several times men with big nets throw them out and they open up into a spiral then bring them in, fish get caught in them. fun to watch. Jeff wants to feed the seagulls this year, he did not do that last year. We usually walk the souvenir shops to get out of the heat, never really buying any thing.
WE like to go eat big steaks at mcquires an irish restaurant that we have been going to for years. I usually get their tuna steak which is delicious!!!!
The tiki hut is right next to our room. They have live music every night, it is a locals hang out. We usually sit at the bar and talk with locals and visit and such. One year they had a water squirt gun fight to raise money for a charity. that was fun. They have a dock/pier at the end of the water, the calm side. (The ocean is across the street. Where boats can dock and come up to eat. we like to walk on this pier and feed the fish that gather. they have a dispenser of fish food.
One year we went to the aviation museum, that was fun! couple of years ago jeff walked up a large light house, I had the wrong shoes, had to have a back, I was wearing sandals. Jeff said he would look into seeing if there was anything else going on that we have not done yet.
WE do not lay out on the sand or at the pool, although one year we did get into the pool to cool off.
We like to go have breakfast at the native son, great food. Flounders restaurant has wonder food, last year I ordered the key lime pie for desert and it was a triple decker one! HUGE!!
It is all about good food....(and drinks, I love bush whackers, think alcoholic frostys, and bloody marys and key lime pie shots).
