I'm glad that you were able to fix some of the things that were interfering with your sleep. It sounds like your husband has been very accommodating. That must help a lot.

Default depressed, overwhelmed, not feeling optimistic about my present or future

I am so very depressed.
It is possible that I have a delayed response to the stress I felt leading up
to, during, and after the storm. -- this has happened to me before and takes a few weeks for recovery.

Monday, I personally learned some sad stories about the storm.
Also, I learned that my brother did a lot of work on his tug boat before,
during, and after the storm keeping the barges and other boats safe.
He is fine. I am feeling sad and overwhelmed somehow.
He works so hard and the company loves him, yet I worry about him.

I have become aware about how much I depend on hubby.

I think I see pdoc later this week. I will report to her how much I am depressed.

You have good reasons to feel overwhelmed
Do you feel like this depression is situational, just related to recent events, or has been going on for longer?

I'm glad that your husband is there for you when you do need him

I hope that talking to your pdoc will help you

Default Depressed. Cry when irritated. Cannot manage much

Kay, It is hard to know how long the depression has been going on. I cannot see things clearly.

==========

I saw pdoc after not seeing her for one month.
I told her that I am depressed and willing to take more of the med and that I would see her in two weeks.

She says I am under medicated and more or less need a life --- a tdoc, people
I can talk to, . . . . She asked about my hubby . .
. None of those questions have answers that get me to a better place.
For example, I told her the tdoc only wants to talk about happy things. (True)

I did increase my dose since I saw her Thursday. I am depressed.
I am worried about ability to do work at work.

ETA:
The risperdal is causing paresthesia tonight.
The sensations are making me realize why I lowered the dose.

I emailed the pdoc that I took the dose we discussed and got paresthesia

The paresthesia diminished a bit since I posted and emailed her.
It feels less scary now that a little time passed.
I feel calm (safe) enough to go to bed soon I hope.

Sometimes it's hard to see things clearly

"I did increase my dose since I saw her Thursday. I am depressed.

"

This sounds like more than situational depression to me. I don't know which med your pdoc increased, but I hope that it starts helping you soon. I'm sorry that you are suffering so much that you're worried about whether or not you can work

I think your pdoc wants you to have a support system, rather than a "life." Sometimes it's hard to separate the two concepts if you're isolated (like me) though.

I've never heard of a tdoc who only wants to talk about happy things… is she a good fit for you? Are your sessions productive?

I'm so sorry that you've been experiencing parasthesias
They are terrible! I hope that you are able to find an effective dose of risperdal that doesn't trigger them.

The tdoc -- I might try to push her/lead her to help with something she can manage.

The pdoc -- She and I have emailed about the risperdal dose. At our appt, she
wanted me to increase it, but the after the symptoms of paresthesia I reported she
has asked me to lower it the past three nights.
I have an appt with the pdoc in a week or so.

I hope lowering the risperdal helps and you stop having trouble with parasthesias. The last thing you need is something else interfering with your sleep…

I'm glad that you see your pdoc in a week. I hope you are a little better off by then, but if not, at least you don't have long to wait for more intervention.
