Mari,

It caught my eye when Kay mentioned the possibility of Resperdal causing an episode. I hope you don't mind my asking if you are currently taking Resperdal? I know my mother really had issues with this med.

As far as sleeping is concerned; I know how important that can be. The only things that really helps me get 5 or 6 hrs. sleep is Ambien Cr. But that is not for everyone.

Hi, Gerry,

Thanks.

I am sorry about your mom on this stuff.

I am taking a tiny dose once a day -- so tiny it is off the charts.
Here is how the manufacturer recommends risperdal for adults with bipolar:
Risperdal Dosage Guide - Drugs.com
From 2 to 3 mg to 1 to 6 mg

=-=-
I have mostly been taking 0.06 mgs at night.

I am glad that I feel really horrible.
When I see the pdoc I do not have to exaggerate or talk myself into figuring
out how I feel.

Two days ago at work, I apparently left the trunk of my car open the whole day.
Someone pointed it out to me later in the day when I was getting ready
to go to the parking lot to go home.

Today I am so tired. So very tired.
I feel like I work very hard to function and the truth is that I am not really functioning. I am faking it somewhat.

I am so very sorry that work is such a struggle for you.
It is a very hard job that you do.
I don't know how you keep up with all of the papers that you have to read/grade?????
Hoping that you pdoc can help you.

The only hard part is explaining things to the kids.

I do not make myself clear . . . probably I am not clear in my own head
and change my mind half way through a sentence.

(If I ever recorded myself I would recognize how messed up I really am.)

Default sleep study

1. I was anxious and sleepy and tired before the sleepy study.

I really had to force myself to prepare to go there and cooperate. Hubby drove.
The temperature in the room was by my estimate low or mid 60s (64 degrees fahrenheit).
Hubby drove back home to get a second layer of clothing for me and a small jacket and extra socks.

=-=-=-
2. I was given three blankets and hooked up to 60 leads/sensors.
I slept from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. and then from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.

=-=-=-
3. That means I had six hours of sleep. The lab got enough data for whatever the neuro is going to
do next but the techs wanted me to stay in bed until after 8:00 a.m. and TRY to go back to sleep.
I was as polite as an anxious person could be while I stayed in the bed freezing and watching morning t.v.

4. Then I called hubby at 8:30 to come pick me up. He drove me home.

I would have been so puffed off that the room was that cold.
Am sure you are glad that is over, what an ordeal.
hoping your doctor has some answers once he analyzes the data.
