You haven't been tolerating all the antipsychotics and atypicals she's thrown at you, so I'm glad that she's entertaining other options now.

Since you have a history with lithium, at least you know you can tolerate it. It's not uncommon for patients to revisit meds that didn't work out so well in the past.

It sounds like you haven't dismissed the tricyclics out of hand either since there have been advances since you've taken any of them.

I'm glad that you're keeping an open mind

It makes sense to wait till things slow down. And you have more time.

Also I wonder if it will help when you get the new sleep study and
things.

Pdoc says she has seen me on "up" days and "low" days and has come to see
somewhat of my pattern. I looked good to her Tuesday (not crying).


She agrees that the sleep study should help but is not hopeful it will solve
everything.


I asked for low dose lithium but told her I would try it in a few weeks
when I am comfortable taking something new around work constraints.

She ordered 150 twice a day in capsules. 'Said I could start will a small amount.

Wednesday Hubby and I worked out at the gym together.
Afterwards we picked up a cooked turkey dinner from the grocery store that we ordered a few days ago.

I am o.k. with cooking a bird, but hubby prefers this system.
All he has to do is heat up the pre-cooked bird in the oven and heat up the side dishes in the microwave.

He will then enjoy the leftovers for a few days.

Gosh, I have no leftovers, except corn casserole, since it wasn't at
my house. But that's okay, other than the turkey I can get any of
the other things as much as in the microwave or a can. That would
be the sweet potatoes in the can and then candied.

I didn't get mashed potatoes, so I might make them sometime this
weekend.

Default sleep study

1. I was anxious and sleepy and tired before the sleepy study.

I really had to force myself to prepare to go there and cooperate. Hubby drove.
The temperature in the room was by my estimate low or mid 60s (64 degrees fahrenheit).
Hubby drove back home to get a second layer of clothing for me and a small jacket and extra socks.

2. I was given three blankets and hooked up to 60 leads/sensors.
I slept from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. and then from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.

3. That means I had six hours of sleep.The lab got enough data for whatever the neuro is going to
do next but the techs wanted me to stay in bed until after 8:00 a.m. and TRY to go back to sleep.
I was as polite as an anxious person could be while I stayed in the bed freezing and watching morning t.v.

4. Then I called hubby at 8:30 to come pick me up. He drove me home.

I would have been so puffed off that the room was that cold.
Am sure you are glad that is over, what an ordeal.
