Bobby,

That is a lot of drama. 'Lots to think about.

=-=-=-
Maybe only think about that a little.
If it helps, focus on being there at 7:30 a.m. Thursday.

(づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ

You essentially have no other responsibilities except the 7:30 appt.

I think that's good advice Mari.

Can you find any comfort from your kitties right now? I know that it is hard to stay engaged with them if you are depressed, but patting them, hugging them if possible, and brushing Pudge may help with your anxiety :hug::hug:

i played with pudge for fifteen minutes this morning. everything feels as if it is splitting apart. the crazy part of me is excited about having my neck cut. the doctor said i will have a scar but it will fade. the neat part will be that i will be under general general anesthesia so for two hours i won't be itchy or be so uncomfortable with my legs and not be able to move them. If i die during the operation I won't know it.
all my early childhood crap is coming up and i feel isolated. what a disfunctional life. thank goodness for tennis and animals.

Bobby

See if one of your nephews can come take you home. Give it a try.

i wouldn;t dare do that. i have seen them twice in 20 years. they also have jbs and long commutes

bizi 07-30-2016 06:25 PM

ask cecilia or alice. Can't hurt to ask I am sure that they would want to help you ...this is really your time of need! I would help you if I could.
I guess if push comes to show you could take a taxi home.

They usually require you to get a ride home here in Mass. unless you are being discharged after a minor outpatient stay, and even then, it's a fight.

I think I can understand some of the more morbid feelings (like the fascination with the particulars of the surgery, or passing away without awareness) you are having right now. I think our minds come up with these things as ways to cope.

But I can only imagine some of the other feelings you are having right now...
You have been through so much, and this is a major surgery, your anxiety must be wreaking havoc on you :hug::hug:

Try not to entertain too many deep and painful thoughts about the past if you can at all help it
Those thoughts will only serve to pain and confuse you more right now :hug::hug:

I don't know what the state laws are here...

I am glad that she can pick you up. You have really good friends.
