Three estimates over two weeks sounds like a reasonable amount of time to take to assess the damage. You could probably even squeeze in another estimate before the window company comes by if you want to go that way.

charles was nice enough, a little rough on the edges. He wore a bandana.
Was a bit late I called him to see if he was still coming he said he was just getting ready to call me. He spent a lot of time going over things/issues which I appreciated. I meet with Dan on monday. He is the handy man that my client recommended to me. bizi

Now jeff has a handy man who he wants to get a quote from, one of his friends has spoken highly of him and uses him.
So that will need to be arranged. We are going to go to home depot, lowes and doug ashy to look at doors and windows. the vinyl ones look great, low maintenance but do break down. I looked at some of my neighbors, aluminum clad, baked on color with wood interior. They look wonderful and expensive!!!! wonder how much more??? This could cost us thousands of dollars. Just the repair job will cost us $1500. Which I think sounds high but what do I know...we will see what the other quotes come in at. . bizi

You are being very thorough with your estimates…
If you get a really good quote from a handy man and find a great window you like, you can have him adjust his quote. I'm sure some windows will be harder to fit than others. Some of those (really good) guys will go to Home Depot, etc with you, or you can show them the window online or from a print out. |

Thanks mari, I am doing fairly well. eating imbibing too much.
Have gained wieght. had a friend this weekend...it was a lot of fun. he leaves tomorrow evening, don't know what he will do during the day as we both work. Today we had brunch at hub city diner and then went hiking about an hour out of town then came back and went to whisky rivers magees landing for a dance. Jeff and I danced and it was fun. Had dinner at the restaurant that we have never eaten before, it was very good. $$$$$ more expensive than we thought because we had the special. Going to try to get to bed early as I have not been sleeping very well. bizi thanks for asking.
