I'm glad that you don't need the pain killers as often now. That is normal, and a sign that you are healing well. Eventually you won't need them at all, and maybe Tylenol or Advil will be enough.

I'm sorry that you aren't sleeping well
Is that because of discomfort from the surgery, anxiety, or because of other reasons?

Bobby

You don't have to take Tylenol or Advil at all. Sometimes people just find that they need something between going from strong pain meds to nothing at all, and that's why they choose to take them.

I hope that you start sleeping better. That's important to recovery too

I will have to call the doctor to find out if I can take aspirin. Aspirin agrees with me. I don't know what i am allowed after I run out of oxy. I obviously want more sleep I woke up at two this morning Sleeping pills don't work for me. I am very irritable. I am also very irritable because of the side effects of the stroke. typing is a real pain and spelling. I have always had sleep problems but this is ridiculous

I am sorry bobby that you are not sleeping. Sorry that sleeping pills do not work for you.
You have tried benadryl?
That alone helps a lot of people to sleep.

((((HUGS))))

Default Bobby,

You could call the psychiatrist to ask for sleeping pills.

You may not need anything after the oxy if you begin to take it less frequently and in smaller doses, but if you find that you need something that's not as potent as oxy, calling to ask about the aspirin is a good idea

I know you've tried a lot of sleeping pills, none of them have worked, and you're not interested in trying anymore…

But since you are dealing with so much irritability since the stroke and surgery, it may be a good idea to call your pdoc to see if he can recommend something (that isn't a sleeping pill) for that, and it may provide the added benefit of helping you sleep better

Bobby,

Hopefully you won't be needing the oxy for long.

Did the Ambien not work for you?
