GP/PCP's generally do not like to prescribe psych meds, but there are exceptions. They would likely decline if they know you already have a pdoc. And I doubt a PCP would be comfortable prescribing an obscure psych med.

I'm sorry you're doubting your relationship with your pdoc right now because of the paperwork for the insurance company. Maybe he is backed up, and is just focused on meeting the deadline?
I understand that it's hard not to take things like this personally, especially since you had such a good result with this med

I'm praying that everything works out for you Bobby

I'm sorry I was thinking for sleep.

That is what I was thinking mainly this was for.

My old pdoc prescribed Celexa or something similar for an anti-depressant for me.

The insurance company kept asking him for more information about alternatives and why I needed it.

It was becoming a hassle for me because he was faxing what the drug
store was filling it, and the drug store was filling it, but the insurance
kept declining it.

I asked the pharmacist in general terms to tell me about a similar med.
He said a few but I mostly remembered "Gabapentin."

When I saw the pdoc, he and I spoke about Gabapentin so that's what
I ended up taking. I still take it.

the depression is getting worse. I don;t see the dpoc for another 2 weeks. by then i won't be angry at him. I wonder if this also has anything to do with the stroke and surgery.I don't feel like going to the senior center

I would think it could be part of the stroke and surgery.

Hope you start to feel better soon.

I'm so sorry you're still feeling so depressed Bobby

You have good reason to be upset with your pdoc, but if you think your anger might be disproportionate to what's going on, it could be a result of your stroke, surgery, and the depression you're experiencing now

I don't blame you for not wanting to go to the senior center.
Are you still going for your walks?
When do your religious classes start again?

I hope that you enjoy your classes when they start. I think I remember that they helped with your depression at some points in the past, but weren't so helpful at others

I'm glad you're still going on your walks. I hope you're still stopping off for coffee.

I wish that good things would start happening for you. You are such a good person, and have been through so much

Love,
Kay
