definitely stay safe!

Mari 09-07-2017 04:59 AM

The storm has winds so high is it not in even on the 1-5 scale.
Some tv folks call it a five because the system does not have a 6.

I am praying it moves off coast and lessons in intensity.

Had a big fight with North Carolina brother in the morning because he wanted me to drive w/ hubby to stay in his basement.
I said that hubby insists on staying and I could not leave hubby.
Hubby feels that the house is strong.

=-=-
And I hate basements.

We have one more day to prepare -- protect the computers incase windows break, clean my bathroom and bring in stuff in case we have to move into
it as it will the safest room in the house.
Also cook some rice and lentils together.

I have a full tank of gas.
Hubby has half.

He was supposed to work last night so we couldn't have left town early anyway.
But work cancelled and travelling by car or plane is not possible now.

can you keep the bathtub filled with water? Can you husband fill his tank?
actually can you boil water and fill your bathtub with that? I hope it veers off and the weathermen are so wrong.

I wish you had been able to leave like you wanted, Mari :hug::hug:

I hope the storm lessens in intensity and takes a path as far away from your doorstep as possible :hug::hug:

Another way to get water on hand is to fill the washer with water.
sending calming thoughts for you as you ride this storm...
I am very concerned for you guys.

No, Bizi.

He is safe from this storm. He does have an interest in weather.

He does not get hurricanes.

BF,

Do you follow weather with some of your technology besides the computer?

Hey Bizi. I live in the Mid-Atlantic Seaboard area. We got hurricane Camille in 1969. That was the worse one that I remember. Otherwise we only get the tropical storms part of the hurricanes. The Blue Ridge mountains breaks them up before they get to where I am. Sometimes they come in through the Norfolk area. They downgrade to tropical storms when they move onto the land. I don't know what this one is going to do for sure. It's the biggest, and windiest one that I have ever seen. We are going to get lots of rain here.

Poor Mari. I hope that they will be safe. BF:hug::hug::hug:
