You were probably in Indiana when it happened. But Derrick fell on ice and broke his elbow. He is in Occupational Therapy. Kay She still has no hair. Her eyes haven't decided their color yet. Her mom dresses her in cute outfits. But also at times when really cold just dresses her for warmth. In the things without feet. I can't remember their name. Donna :grouphug: |
Ouch!

Thank you for the details Donna. I can't remember the names of those things either... all I can think of is onesies lol. My youngest nephew is three now, so it's been a while since we've had a baby in my family.

:grouphug:Okay, So happy I have a few friends in Lafayette. And nice strangers.
Yesterday morning went to pick Derrick up from school to go to OT. Found we had about 30 minutes, decided to go get him a drink. Well got around a corner and my car went down. It wouldn't move. The tires were fine. An nice guy across the way came he had seen it not go. And I was in middle of the lane. He and Derrick tried to push me out of way. Car wouldn't budge. Another nice guy who I knew I could trust to try moving my car himself. After he asked me to see if it would go in reverse. Moved it back and then it went to side of road forward. With the other guy keeping traffic back so they and my car would not get hit. And me keeping Derrick out of way. He saved me a towing fee for sure. He told me it was a tire rod that went out. And Derrick and I walked back to his therapy about a block or two down the road. I got ahold of my friend Shannon and she came and got us. My husband was coming after work. So I was going to Derrick's apartment to hang out with him and Dobey. We went out to eat with Derrick and Chris her son. It was a nice afternoon. We at spaghetti and Lagasna at Fazoli's. And I then helped follow my husband home. He then took the car to the shop after we had bought parts. It turned out to be a productive day, other than I didn't get my sandwiches I was going to bring home to eat. He went with the mechanic who is a friend. To see a friend of ours at the VA hospital and to eat. Donna |
It sounds like a busy day.
sorry about your car troubles. ((((HUGS))))) bizi |
What an ordeal, Donna!
But you have wonderful attitude that always impresses me. Most people would only come away feeling the stress of the situation, where you are just thankful that you had nice people who helped you, and are just happy that things worked out. You're amazing :hug::hug: I am glad that things worked out so well for you and everything is okay :) |

Thanks Ladies
I really needed those thoughts today. For some reason my phone has been ringing off the hook with parents. I believe after I get all calls returned this afternoon. Because I have one I haven't been able to reach. I got 3 new parents either calls or assistance tickets Tuesday and Wednesday together. And two I believe emails. And today I've talked to 2 new parents maybe three this morning. I have been very quiet and slow. Guess they are just catching up now. Donna :grouphug: |
I'm sorry Donna
I'm sure it's harder to be more positive at work because you care about the kids so much and the parents can be difficult to deal with :hug::hug: |
