Red face

Occupational therapists specialize in the finer motor skills like activities of daily living, things you do with your hands. Where as PTs are major muscle groups....walking, legs. They may also work with your hands too.
Don't mean to confuse you.

Have you ever used uber?
I hear they are a lot cheaper.
I have never used them....have to use your cell phone to do that and get the app...I don't remember my pass word so can't get new apps for my phone.

now i am even talking myself out of going to pt. it is so awful being tired all the time. the stroke and the pills besides the age make me more tired. It is crazy going four times a week to therapy. you have to be nuts. maybe the new place wouldn't be any better than the old place. it is so frustrating to see improvement and then going backwards. I am bipolar. that makes everything so much worse. then my age. ugh

You absolutely do not have to go to any kind of therapy 4 times a week. Good PT/OTs will respect your energy and financial limitations and come up with care plans based on that.
In the past if I've had to go to PT for just my legs, I would go once a week, but if I had to go for an arm or two as well, I would have to go twice a week. I can't/won't go more than twice a week, but that meant I had to keep up with my exercises at home.

While our situations are different, I can understand how hard it is to be tired all the time, and how frustrating it is to make progress and have set backs

Are you sure that this is really a setback at this point? While I'm sure you can still benefit from PT, the episode you had could have been related to fasting, and maybe dehydration, too.

Is it possible to see your PCP?
He can take some blood to rule out medical causes for what happened, and give you some guidance about whether or not he thinks PT and/or OT is the right way to go.
Reaching out to your neuro might not be a bad idea either.

You don't have to make any decisions about therapy right now. It sounds like that incident, and your concerns about Pudge have you overwhelmed. You can put it on the back burner for now, at least until you know Pudge will be okay

i came back from the primary care doctor when the latest incident with the legs happened. I did have coffee at 10:30. I am going to call this morning to see if they can change the physical to early morning so i won't have to fast long.I saw the neurologist two days before and she did some tests and said I was doing super. I walked perfectly. Before i showed her she wanted me to do further p.t. and said some people did it for years. I don't have that many years left. Then i showed her and she was amazed. she didn't see me two days later. I worked myself up so much right now i don't want any p.t. My bipolar is out of control

Sometimes our bipolar is the most important thing we have to take care of, no matter what else is going on. Do you think a visit to the pdoc would help?
