i amglad you didn't mention it to your brother-n-law. he doesn't sound like the sympathetic type. being your own advocate I think is a sign of growth. you can only do what you can do. I would explain the story to each person on the ladder. It really isn't fair though to be put in that position!

I have a Medicare Advantage Plan and they provide a $150 benefit towards either eyeglasses or contacts, but I have to pay the rest. I'm sure between Medicare and Medicaid you qualify for some benefits. It's a possibility that the place you went to just doesn't accept Medicare or Medicaid as insurance, but there are plenty of places that do.
It's worth looking into what eye wear benefits you get from Medicare and Medicaid. Your case worker should be able to answer that question, but you can also call Medicaid/Medicare or try to locate the info on the web. Good luck BF |

I think that the people at this eye doctor's office just didn't want to help me.
The eye glass girl's attitude was disrespectful. This has gotten to me. I am depressed about it. BF |

I hope that you get your glasses soon, and that once you do, these experiences will hold less significance and be less hurtful than they are now

My case manager, and I went to another place in a different city to get my glasses. I only had to pay for the frames. I have not received them yet, but this is a relief. Those people were friendly. There was such a big difference between the two different eye glass people. BF
