Nikko

Just got on the computer, and saw your update. I am hoping things

I had dry socket when I got my wisdom teeth taken out years ago. I know exactly how you feel it is unbearable. I had medicated gauze put into the hole to clear up whatever was going on down in there. It was taken out a week later and I was fine. Very unfun.
I hope you feel relief soon.

Awe honey. I am so sorry you hurt. I am really empathetic when it comes to teeth and migraines.

Sending you healing thoughts and lots of hugs.

Went to the Dentist yesterday, no dry socket, everything is healing well. He just said it isn't going to happen overnight. Today is a week since they were taken out.

It's just I have bone loss, and the teeth around where the teeth that were extracted are going through an adjustment period, where they move. Plus the extractions set off my TMJ, so I have to get that calmed down.

Last night I used a night guard so I wouldn't grind and it worked well,:) I can't believe I didn't take it out during the night.

Plus I bone loss and periodontil disease, from my receding gums. So, it looks like I will be going to the Dentist for the rest of my life at this point.

I actually had a pretty good day yesterday as far as pain.;)

So, it's sit and wait, and hang tough. I go back to the Dentist August 9th.

Now I have to call my PCP for my pain med, since I have one left. If she is going to keep me on this one, I have to go to her office to pick up the script, which is a drive. Unless, she can call me in something not as strong, because I don't see her until September again. I can't take the Topamax, it gives me extreme headaches, does anyone think maybe it is because I also take Lamictal and those are both mood stabilizers and I get too much of whatever is in those????????????????????????????????????????????? ?

Anyway, that's the latest.

Hugs, Nikko

I took depakote and topamax together and didn't get any side effects except weight gain from depakote...If I remember I was on lamictal for a little while and topamax but had side effects from lamictal and stopped it..it caused gum problems.
I went to the dentist and periodontist every week for a year some years back. DON'T. I had bone loss and gum disease which I now have again and had my gums cut (which shouldn't be a problem nor painful)It really is an assault on your body and since you have tmj you really have to be careful.
I haven't read that topamax can CAUSE headaches. Later I might do a search of the net. I have only read that it can relieve migraine symptoms...weird...
take care
Bobby

I too am going to look at the side effects of topamax.

Plus COPE (my case mgr and p-doc) called two days in a row, but once Dirk was on the phone and didn't realize the beep in was important, and yesterday when I was out. They haven't left a message.

I just have a feeling it has to do with my meds, since I mail her a copy of everything from my PCP.

I called back once, and left a message. I will be home today, so I bet they call again late in the day, as they usually do.

I am just wondering why they are calling me.

Hugs, Nikko
