I am hypomanic, am convinced of this.
For quite some time my pdoc has said that I am undermedicated but she did not know what to change me to.
I tried a small dose of lithium to see if that helped with out her knowing and that did nothing so I stopped taking it. I gave it a 3 month shot. nadda.
The increase in my drinking and computer usage is obviously hypomania...
or I am just an addict.

I am not very observant or in tune with my body or illness. I finally figured out that I must be hypomanic with all of this increased drinking and internet usage. I am getting ready to take a trip solo without my hubby to florida with my family. I asked my sister tonight if she would help me if I get manic. She said she would help me. I have zyprexa to take if I need it.

Pdocs don't prescribe the form of lithium you were taking because it's not effective in managing bipolar disorder, so it wasn't a fair trial.
There are a lot of mood stabilizers out there, many that you may not have tried. I'm sure if you pressed your pdoc about switching from Geodon to a new mood stabilizer, she could come up with a new med plan if that is something you are truly interested in doing.

You have the support of a competent therapist right now. Maybe after you address the possibility of ADD and treatment, reevaluating your BP med plan might be of interest.

I only take the klonipin at night, never during the day.
Sometimes I take more if I can't sleep. I have a stash of 1mg pills that I cherish and rarely take them...I want to be able to medicate myself if I need them. They won't last that long if I take them willy nilly.
