Default depression less now maybe?

1. Now I am not that sleepy from the med. I took it at 11:00 p.m. with my night meds and did not notice any sleep affects.

2. It is possible that I am less depressed than I was before I started the med.

3. I am still staying home almost all the time, watching some t.v., and reading twitter, and sleeping.

4. But I am feeling stressed and have chest tightness-- so stressed that I really did not want to go to bed.
The "Stress" is a little bit different from "anxiety."

I'm glad that you are feeling less sleepy from the Viibryd now, and you feel like you may be less depressed... that's really good news

How are you feeling about the new bed?

I am feeling better about the bed.

I fall asleep with the t.v. At some point I wake up and turn it off and go back to sleep.

I see the pdoc on Wed I think. I do not know what to report exactly
because the med makes me very sleepy (I would not exactly call it "brain fog" so
maybe it IS sleepiness. )

That is o.k. for now.

I fall asleep in the morning (I feel safer in the morning due to past
terror from seeing and hearing things.) . . Although I can almost as
easily see and hear things in the daylight as the night time.

Lately I wake up around three or four o'clock pm.

It seems like what you are doing, and what the med is doing, is working for you for the time being. That is what I would report. It's your satisfaction and comfort that matters.

If you have a desire to switch your sleep cycle that is a different matter. I think maybe the CBT the sleep doc mentioned to you may be more helpful with that than anything your pdoc could offer alone because your relationship with sleep is so complex- if you decide you are interested.

Yes, Kay,

I will have to return for a follow up for the sleep within the year of getting the CPAP (I prolly should check with his office or my insurance for the exact rules)
I really do not want to go to the place with the students studying CBT.

I am in a weird place right now --- kind of zombied out -- and trying hard not to think about things --- kind of on a vacation from myself and the world and communicating with hubby about my needs -- trying to be peaceful --

In a week or two, I can start working on the body-clock.
I will have to
-get sunshine
-use the melatonin the neuro told me to buy
-exercise in the first half of the day
-at night read books and listen to radio instead of watching tv and looking at the computer.

-I used to have a pair of rose/amber colored sun glasses to block the light in the apt.
Maybe I can find a cheap pair like these: S6394FGX24 POL |Men's Sunglasses

Red light is good at night because it does not disrupt: Preserve Your Sleep Cycle with a Red LED Night Light | Make:

I know how to do those things and CAN implement them after I have taken
care of basic survival needs (i.e. not being depressed)

Default Viibryd: very sleepy and some stomach problems

Hi

I am freaked out that Viibryd might not work for me.
I was sick to my stomach late in the day.
After trying to fix the stomach problem with rice, I fell asleep before bedtime and the bed time meds.

=-=-
After I woke up tonight I took half a dose of the 10 mgs Viibryd with food.
Doing a half dose for the next few days will give me information for the pdoc at Wed appointment.

I like your plan for resetting your sleep clock, and I'm happy you are giving yourself a little vacation before you start to implement it.

To be honest, I would not do the CBT either. I'm no longer a therapy person. I was just throwing it out there, knowing it was suggested to you before.

I am really glad you haven't been experiencing significant side effects from the Viibryd, and it seems like it has been helpful for you so far, Mari... you have said that you have been feeling less depressed, and sounds like you have been more comfortable, but I can understand your concern because you have had such a hard time finding the right fit with meds

Sometimes antidepressants take time to build up in your system. I would ask your pdoc about how Viibryd works. You could also increase your dose, if you feel like you could tolerate it, but I know it is already causing drowsiness...

She started to draw a picture for me of serotonin upregulation or something
and then she got distracted or I interrupted her or made a comment or something. She stopped and I asked her
to do the picture again but by then she was onto something else.

Mechanism of Action | VIIBRYD(R) (vilazodone HCl)
The mechanism is not completely understood apparently.

She said it is sort of a combination of an SSRI and Buspirone.
